Maja touched her forehead, realizing the fever had indeed subsided.

"Zoey, are you sure you don't want to stay home and rest? I'm a businessman, and I really need you to come back to the office with me, but work comes second to your health."

Seeing she was insistent, Maja dropped the subject, and they hurried off to the office.

In the following week, Maja barely returned home. The few times she did, she saw Ian waiting for her at their shared townhouse, Rosewood Manor.

She quickly ended the call and headed down to the reception. There, she saw a modestly dressed man and woman.
