Suddenly, Bella heard the doorbell ring and rushed over to open the door. She immediately saw Ethan standing there with some medication in hand.

"I heard that something happened in the hospital. Are you alright? I wasn't there at that time. Otherwise, I wouldn't have allowed them to hurt you."

Her mind began to buzz. Dominic was still in her home, and he was already in a bad mood.

He was also someone who tended to hold grudges, so there was a high chance that Ethan might end up taking the brunt of his anger.

She quickly said, "It's alright. I'm fine as I've already handled everything. Aren't you supposed to be at work today? Why are you here? You should head back to the hospital. I'm on leave today, so I won't be going back there."

Ethan was about to say something when Bella felt pressure from behind her. Immediately, she heard Dominic's voice coming from above her head. "Thank you for your concern about my girlfriend."

Ethan's expression became slightly awkward before his expression quickly returned to normal.

Then, he said, "It's alright. We're all colleagues here. Anyway, I'll be heading off first. You can keep the medication for yourself, Bella."

Bella awkwardly took the medicine, and as soon as Ethan left, Dominic immediately closed the door.

She could feel a chill run down her spine as she turned around and found herself face-to-face with him.

He leaned down, his breath warm on her cheek. "Can you keep those men around you at a distance? They're such an eyesore."

She gave him a forced smile. "He's just my colleague. It wouldn't be good to distance myself too much. Every workplace is like a small society, and I'll still have to interact with people."

Dominic sneered as he said, "He even said how he wouldn't have let anyone touch you if he had been there. I'd like to see how such a lanky man like him would stand up to those two crazy women from the Kleins. He'd better watch out, or they'd end up scratching his face. Not that there was much to look at to begin with."

Bella was feeling uncomfortable as Dominic was pressing her up against the wall. She reached out to push him away and said, "Could you move…"

He refused. "You'd better explain it to me properly, or I'll have you here right now!"
