Worship The Ground You Walk On novel Chapter 52

Seeing a guest coming down from upstairs, Claudia politely stood up and sent Mr. Hunt out with them.

But Mr. Hunt ran his eyes over them and stopped at Claudia. He stared at her with a lewd smile.

“I haven’t seen this lady before. She is...”

Amber said immediately, “She’s my sister, Claudia.”

“Nice to meet you.” Hunt suddenly seemed to remember something. It was said that the Evans family had an illegitimate daughter, who was beautiful like a fairy, with gorgeous temperament and appearance. He thought she lived up to her reputation.

Mr. Hunt stared at Claudia, almost unblinking, and forgot to react for a while.

He felt the time stopped and was jolted out of his thoughts by Theodore.

“Mr. Hunt?”

Hearing that, Hunt smiled and walked out, but he still glanced at Claudia out of the corner of his eyes. He thought it a pity that such a beautiful woman was actually a mute.

Amber noticed that and a hint of cunning flashed in her beautiful and black eyes.

After Mr. Hunt left, Claudia also left the Evans residence. She still thought about Blair's suggestion. By signing the document renouncing her inheritance, she would be able to pick up her mother, and no one would ever blackmail her with her mother. It would be a good thing to get rid of the control of the Evans family.

However, the abandonment of the inheritance also represented the renaming of the Evans Group to the Raba Group. Then her father's death with injustice would be completely untraceable.

She did not know how to choose.

As for the CCM project, although she was not interested in business, she also knew the project was important to the Evans Group and that was why Theodore and Blair were so nervous.

But everyone in the circle should be clear that such a kind of projects would be absolutely awarded to the Crawford Group. Other groups had no strength and ability to compete with them, let alone the Evans Group.

Claudia went back to the Crawford residence alone, and Amber also hurriedly then. Although Blair felt puzzled, she did not ask Amber.

Amber drove to the H&D Advertising. Hearing of Amber's arrival, Hunt hurriedly asked his secretary to invite her in.

Amber wore a Chanel light pink dress and carried a limited-edition bag. She always looked like a graceful girl from a middle-class family, but today she looked sexy and graceful.

Hunt sat on the leather chair smoking a cigar, and through the smoke, his eyes stopped at Amber. He said tonelessly, “What brings you here, Miss Evans?”

“You are so polite, Mr. Hunt. You flatter me.” Amber looked at him, and said politely, “Actually, you are a friend of my father, so I should call you Uncle.”

Hunt was a man in his fifties with slicked-back hairstyle and whiskers. He kept fit and did not look dreadful, but he was definitely not handsome. He was just a middle-aged man with a normal appearance.

“That's true. Since you’ve said so, what can I do for you?”

Amber pulled a chair, sat down, and put her bag on the table. She looked at him and said, “It was really nothing. I just came to visit you, my uncle.”

Visit?

He could not help but laugh. In this circle, the so-called relatives, friends, or old family friends were just the basis for business entertainment and cooperation.

It did not mean there was no real friendship, but Hunt would never believe it.

“Since you call me uncle, then I also call you Amber. Just tell me. What is it that you want? I might be able to help, you know.”
