What Separates Me and You novel Chapter 33

Chapter 33 It Hurt Too Much

The thug’s palm was wet with her tears and drool that dribbled down her chin, it was hard to tell one from the other.

The thug’s gaze was burning as he grabbed her tongue with his fingers. He asked in confusion, “You have a tongue but why can’t you speak?”

“Why do you care if she has a tongue or not? Can’t we just get on with it? another thug said impatiently, “I can’t hold it in much longer.”

“What’s the rush?” The thug withdrew his hand and wiped his fingers on Josephine’s clothes.

Glancing at her tear-streaked face, he continued, “Let’s find somewhere safe.”

Although she could not call for help, there were still people around. If they ran into someone nosy, it would be troublesome.

Josephine listened to their conversation and anxiously scanned her surroundings for anybody who could help her. Apart from the apathetic people who were living under the bridge, the place was deserted.

This was why Lewis delayed their divorce by two weeks and chased her out. In merely one night, he had proven that she was nothing without him. Anyone could easily take advantage of her.

Josephine couldn’t stop the two thugs from dragging her off to somewhere more secluded. Stumbling and sta gg ering, Josephine was brought to a park.

There was no one in the park at this time. The park itself was dimly lit by a few garden lights, and much of the park was engulfed in darkness.

Josephine was brought to a corner of the park. Hidden by the dense bushes surrounding them, the thugs were free to do anything they wished to her.

The thugs’ evil desires were exposed. Smiling greedily, they pressed Josephine down on the grass and restrained her limbs.

She shook her head frantically and opened her mouth to try to scream for help, but nothing was heard.

The thugs became bolder as they saw she couldn’t make a sound.

One thug held Josephine’s legs down and undressed her excitedly while the other thug restrained her hands.

Chaetdi 33 it hurt Too Much

No matter how much she struggled, her clothes were torn into rags by their impatience.

The cold night air hit her skin and she shivered as goosebumps appeared on her body.

One of the thugs looming over her cackled eagerly in anticipation.

Josephine could only close her eyes in resignation, tears streaming down her cheeks.

The thug restraining her legs stood up to take off Josephine’s pants when he felt something wet and sticky.

He brought his hand up to the light and was terrified to see that his fingers were covered in blood.

“F**k! What’s this?”

The other thug was startled as well. They leaned closer for a better look.

Josephine was wearing a pair of white pants that Lewis had bought for her birthday. It was a shocking sight to see the pants completely stained crimson with blood.

“Could it be that she’s on her period?”

“But she shouldn’t be bleeding so profusely!”

The two thugs looked at each other in alarm. They seemed to have regained their sanity.

One of them swallowed nervously and said, “Maybe we should just forget it!”

“This dumb woman has definitely been with other men and got pregnant. She’s disgusting, let’s just get out of here!”

“You’re right, we don’t want to catch any diseases!”

Since these thugs had lecherous intentions, they naturally assumed that a dumb woman like Josephine must have slept with many other men before this.

Furthermore, she might have some sexually transmitted diseases.

Overwhelmed with disgust, the two thugs stood up and spat on Josephine. They threw her torn clothes on her body before quickly leaving the scene.

Josephine was sweating bullets, and her face was as white as a sheet. She tried to get up, but it hurt too much. She fell down after every attempt to stand up.

Josephine reached out her hand to stop the two thugs, but they were out of sight in a flash.

She tightened her fingers into a fist, clutching the soil within her palm. Her nails sunk into the wet soll.

No one was coming to save her.

No one could save her child.

Floating in and out of consciousness, her vision became increasingly blurry until she saw double images of streetlights in the distance.
