Chapter 32 You Are My Wife 

The sun shone warmly into the bedroom through the cracks in the curtains. 

Sensing movement around her, Cordelia slowly opened her eyes and saw the back of a familiar man. 

She suddenly opened her eyes wide, looked around, and found that she was in a familiar room. 

This was the place where she had lived for three years, and she was very familiar with it. 

“Elijah?” 

Hearing her voice, Elijah turned his head. His eyes instantly turned cold. “What’s that look in your eyes?“ 

Cordelia knew that she lost control of her expression because she had a terrible hangover. 

She slowly sat up, rubbing her swollen temples. She felt flustered, but she pretended to be calm. 

“Last night…” 

“I’m very satisfied with your performance last night. I hope you will continue to work hard. I’ll consider letting the Deleon family go,” Elijah said expressionlessly while wearing a tie. 

Cordelia’s beautiful eyes widened in astonishment. She could hardly believe her ears. 

What did she do last night? God! It was so embarrassing! 

Seeing the blank expression on her face, Elijah smiled indistinctly. 

However, soon, he kept a straight face and warned, “Cordelia, let me warn you one last time. Before we get a divorce, you are still my wife and have to behave yourself. Do you hear me?” 

“Behave myself? Did I do something wrong?” Cordelia was at a loss. 

Was it because she drank too much last night and did something bold to disgust Elijah? Or did he rake up the past again? 

Elijah sneered, “Why don’t you check your transfer records?” 

Cordelia looked at him suspiciously, took her phone with disbelief, and saw a transfer record of one thousand dollars to a stranger 

And another transfer record of 1,200 dollars to Elijah… 

What did she do? Why couldn’t she remember anything? 

Suddenly, there was a warm hand on top of her head. 

She raised her eyes and met Elijah’s serious and sharp eyes. 

“Remember, you are my wife, and your every move represents the Hansen family, Mrs. Hansen.” 

Cordelia bit her lip. She suddenly regretted getting drunk in a bad mood in the bar last night. 

Something beyond her control happened, so it would be more difficult to get a divorce. 

Cordelia was upset. 

When she came to her senses, she was alone in the bedroom. 

She went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. She found that the band-aids on her body were replaced with new ones, and the wound was dressed.

“Did Nora place these clothes here?” 

Cordelia muttered, put on a random dress, and went downstairs. 

“Mrs Hansen, Mrs Edith Hansen asked me to prepare this special food for you. Eat it while it’s hot.”

Wasn’t this the fertility food that she made to reassure her in-laws? 

Just then, Elijah said in a cold voice, “Have some more. Try to have a baby boy in the first attempt.” 

Elijah’s tone was fine, but Cordelia thought it was harsh 

She raised her eyes and looked at Elijah sharply. “Don’t you think you should also eat some?” 

Elijah didn’t say anything but looked at her indifferently.
