Chapter 28 You Should Reconsider

Cordelia didn’t want to open the door. 

But it was early in the morning, and Elijah might cause some trouble to her neighbors if he kept standing outside. 

So she opened the door. 

The first thing she saw was the breakfast in his hand. 

“I didn’t expect you to be so inconsiderate,” Elijah said lightly. 

Seeing him handing over the breakfast, Cordelia took it. 

Putting the breakfast on the dining table, she later realized that this man was insulting her. 

Cordelia didn’t have men’s slippers here, so Elijah took off his shoes and walked bare-footed. “Cordelia, are you a masochist?” 

Cordelia just had a fever and only got a little better now. Therefore, she was a bit slow in reaction at the moment. She stared blankly at Elijah but didn’t reply. 

“Why do you have to stay in such a small place when you can live in a big house?” 

Finally, Cordelia realized what he was saying. Instead of answering his question, she asked, “Why are you here?”

What happened last night wasn’t a dream, was it? 

This thought was so shocking to Cordelia that she staggered a little. 

The man walked towards her slowly. 

He didn’t wear slippers, so his footsteps made no sound, but Cordelia could still feel his dominance. 

“Tell me. What do you want to do now?” The scratches on his chest looked even more horrifying as the man approached her. 

Cordelia suddenly came to her sense and argued, “If you hadn’t left me on the expressway yesterday, I wouldn’t have a fever and 

She paused and swallowed. “Anyway, I don’t remember what happened last night. We’re even now!” 

Seeing her pretending to be unreasonable and play rogue, Elijah couldn’t help smiling. 

He suddenly took Cordelia’s waist, leaned close to her face, and said with a smile on his face, “You were cuter last night.” 

Cordelia was startled. She pushed him away, but her face already blushed. 

“I-I’ll apply some medicine to you!” Cordelia panicked and hurriedly went to look for the medicine box. 

However, Elijah pulled her back and made her sit at the dining table. “Have your breakfast while it’s still hot.” 

As he spoke, Elijah also sat down and enjoyed his breakfast gracefully. 

Cordelia was in a trance. She finished the breakfast but had no idea what she had exactly. 

“Cordelia.” 

“Um?” 

“I hope you can reconsider our divorce. Hansen Group hasn’t placed next year’s order from the Deleon family. I suggest you wait for some time,” Elijah said in a cold tone. 

Cordelia knew what he was implying. Her family was still counting on her. If she divorced him, her family would definitely 

Cordelia frowned deeply. She was determined to get a divorce. Therefore, she did consider those factors. 

However, all good things must come to an end. Cordelia’s family had been taking advantage of Cordelia for three years. They couldn’t expect to do it forever! 

Suddenly, she felt something cool on her face. 

Elijah stroked her cheek gently with his slender fingers.
