Heather almost caught her breath when she saw how Blake’s face darkened when he heard Kevin. The latter on one hand had his brows knitted as he looked at Blake's hand on her forearm.
"Kevin.." She murmured.
She didn’t call him hon like she got used to because she felt that if she did that, Blake might do something bad to the other man. It seemed like he was just waiting for an opportunity to smack Kevin. They were already drawing attention. People in the lobby were eyeing them.
"Are you sure you want to intervene?" Blake asked Kevin in a spine-tingling tone.
Her heart skipped a beat when looked like he didn’t want to leave. She needed to say something to lessen the tension.
"Please Blake people are staring. Kevin is here. Let him take drive me.” She pleaded.
This wasn’t the time to be feisty though she wanted to yell at him. He was acting as if he has the right to meddle with her business. She was sure that Stacey would never ask him to watch over her. He just wanted to piss her all the time. His expression became more steely when Kevin took her hand. Blake gritted his teeth and tightened his hold on her arm and she almost winced in pain.
"Uncle Blake!"
When she heard Hanna's voice she closed her eyes in relief.
Oh thank you! She thought.
She could now get away from Blake but she would make sure that she won’t take this sitting down. She would wait for the perfect time to get her revenge on him somehow. She would put him in his place but she couldn’t do that right here and right now.
"Hannah!" Called the mother.
The little girl looked so excited to see Blake that she ran to him. The latter had no choice but to release her arm.He changed his expression before lifting Hanna. His lips broke in a smile.
The little girl kissed him on the cheek. Heather took the chance to split. She touched Kevin's arm and nodded at him as a sign that they needed to go.
"Bye Miss Pretty!" She heard Hannah say but she didn’t turn her head.
She dare not look at Blake. She knew that he was really boiling with anger. She and Kevin hurriedly went out of the building. When they were out, he took hold of her hand.
"Hon! Where are you going? I'll drop you off wherever it is." he said.
