Chapter 35 Planning on Kidnapping Amanda 

Amanda decided not to turn around and quickened her pace. 

All of a sudden, she felt someone grabbing her arm. Tm your father, Amanda! Why are you running away from me? Do you know how much effort it has taken me to find you? Why are you so callous?” 

Amanda was forced to turn around and look at the middle-aged man before her eyes. He was her terrible father, Dick Leans. 

At that moment, she recalled what happened when she was a kid. 

Back then, Dick cheated on his wife and chased the two of them out of the house. He didn’t even. pay for their living expenses. Over the years, he had never been concerned about Amanda and her mother. 

However, after she grew up and married Elias, Dick started harassing her. He shamelessly asked Amanda to demand money from the Winterses. 

Then, she divorced Elias four years ago and left the country. That was when she got rid of her horrible father. 

Much to her chagrin, Dick found her again. 

“Get lost!” 

Despite her wrath, she didn’t have anything to say to the older man. With that, she turned around 

and left. 

“What’s wrong with you? I’m your father. Do you think you can get rid of me after you’ve married Elias? My blood runs in your veins and that’s a fact you can never change!” Dick barked. 

Amanda sneered in response. “You’re here for money, aren’t you? I’m sorry for disappointing you, but I divorced Elias four years ago. I have nothing to do with the Winterses now,” 

“What? Did you get a divorce? No wonder I couldn’t find you for the past four years. The Winterses even chased me away when I went to them! How could you divorce Elias just like that? Do you think no one can teach you a lesson just because your mother is dead?” 

Dick was flustered when he learned that his daughter was divorced. This came as a surprise to him as he was hoping Amanda would pay off his debts. 

“You’re lying, aren’t you? If you’re divorced, why did Elias come looking for you? I saw everything.” 

“Whatever. I don’t have money.” 

With that, Amanda quickly entered the apartment and told the security guard that she didn’t 

know the man. “Don’t let him come in.” 

Dick wanted to follow her, but the security guard stopped him from moving forward. “You can’t go in, sir. The homeowner said she doesn’t know you.” 

“Who do you think you are? She is my daughter, so, of course, she knows me! Let me in!” 

Dick insisted on barging into the place, but the security guard stopped him from doing so. After struggling for a bit, he had no choice but to give up. 

Just then, two tattooed burly men came over with furious expressions. 

“Didn’t you say your daughter is married to a wealthy man? Where’s the money? If you can’t pay up, we’ll kill you. Your wife and son will go to hell with you as well.” 

Dick hunched his back and said, “I didn’t lie to you, sir. My son-in-law is extremely wealthy. The woman you just saw is my daughter. You can kidnap her and demand money from her husband. He’s rich, so he can give you however much you want. He was the one who helped pay off my debts in the past.” 

The thugs exchanged glances and felt that it was a good idea. 

Furthermore, the apartment was a high-end one, so the residents were surely wealthy. 

Meanwhile, Amanda had no idea that her father had betrayed her and started planning on kidnapping her. 

When Amanda reached home, she pushed the bedroom door open and saw that her child was sound asleep. Instantly, she became at ease. 

Then, she headed to the living room and found a real estate agent’s contact number. She wanted to look for a new house, for she could no longer stay there. 

Since Dick had discovered her residence, he would come harassing her again. Once that happened, it would be hard for her to get rid of him. 

Four years ago, she ended up in a terrible state because of her father, and she could never be confident whenever she was with the Winterses. Every time she asked Elias for money, she felt 

ashamed. 

At that time, her mother was still alive. When Dick couldn’t get any money from her, he would go harass her mother, which caused her mother’s illness to exacerbate. 

Therefore, Amanda was resentful of her father. She would never want to see him again, let alone give him any money. 

Her phone started ringing just then. She took a look and realized it was Helean’s call. 

She picked it up and asked, “What’s wrong. Helean?” 

“You’ll go to court to deal with the Winters Enterprise’s infringement case tomorrow. Have you prepared everything?” 

“Don’t worry about it. By the way, can you take care of my son tomorrow? There’s a private matter I have to deal with.” 

“Sure. I don’t have any work tomorrow.” 

After the call ended, Amanda let out a breath and leaned against the couch. 

What if Dick still finds me after I move to another place? I have to finish off the current cases as soon as I can and settle down in another country. My son and I had been living a peaceful life for the past four years without worrying about Dick harassing us. 

She couldn’t help but think that she had to leave this place no matter what. 

There was nothing in this place that she missed. Not only was she constantly reminded of her terrible past, but there were also people she hated here. 

The next afternoon, Amanda sent Aiden to Helean’s house and headed straight to the court, Unbeknownst to her, a car had been tailing her. 

In the vehicle, when Dick saw Amanda bringing a child to another residential area, he couldn’t help but wonder whose child it was. 

We haven’t met for four years. Did Amanda give birth to a child? It must be Elias child, then. He’ll save Amanda for the child’s sake! 

“Why is your daughter heading to court? How are we supposed to make a move? There are people everywhere!” 

“Dick, go and lure your daughter into the car later. If we can’t kidnap her today, we’ll cut off your son’s limbs tonight.” 

Dick instantly turned pale when he heard that. “Please don’t do that! My son is still very young, so he can’t lose his limbs. Don’t worry. I’ll get her into the car later!” 

They followed Amanda’s car to the court. 

Since there were many people around, it was difficult for them to make a move. Therefore, they decided to wait for the woman to come out. 

Meanwhile, a secretary entered the president’s office of the Winters Enterprise and said, “Mr. Winters, the court session for the infringement case will commence today. Would you like to go 

over?” 

When Elias recalled Amanda’s attitude the night before, he replied angrily. “No.” 

It wasn’t difficult for Amanda to win the infringement case, so he didn’t need to be present. 

Furthermore, the woman would likely give him the cold shoulder again. 

His phone started ringing all of a sudden. 

He picked it up and heard Grace saying. “Elias, I heard you’re going to attend the charity dinner tonight. Why don’t we walk the red carpet together? Everyone knows we’re in love anyway.” 

Elias hesitated upon hearing that. If Howard found out about it, he would surely be mad. 

However, Howard was already agitated after Amanda brought Simon back to the Winters Manor the other day, so he likely wasn’t in the mood to pay attention to such matters. 

“Alright. I’ll see you tonight.”
