Chapter Twenty Six
Tracy
The doctor told me to wait outside while he checked up on Alex, I was allowed to go back inside when he finished the check-up.
I was surprised to see Alex looking weird like he was sad about something, I rushed to his side worried.
"Alex are you okay? What did the doctor say?"
"Tracy"
"Tell me, what's wrong?"
"I'm a bad person right?" He asked looking at me
"What do you mean? tell me."
"You didn't tell me the twin were involved in an accident."
"Oh that, you scared me."
"Tracy"
"Well, they are fine now, yes they were involved in an accident but they are fine now and I'm thankful for that."
"I'm sorry I made you take care of the kids alone, I'm sorry I left six years ago, nothing can excuse that and I'm very sorry about it, I'm sorry for everything, I'm sorry Tracy." He said holding my hands, he was crying already, and seeing him cry made me cry too, I didn't know what to tell him.
"You should not be stressing yourself, lie down and rest," I said after few mins, I helped him lie down
"I love you, Tracy, I really do." He said as he closed his eyes to sleep hugging my hand to his chest, I had to use my other hand to wipe the tears
I want to tell him I forgive him already, I want to move on already, but a part of me is holding me back, making me ask myself questions, what if I forgive him and the same thing happens again?, If I forgive him would that make me the pushover people think I am?, What about the lady he announced his engagement with?.
Those things are holding me back, I would love it when we are together again but I'm too scared of things that might happen again.
I thought about it for a while then I decided to take it one step at a time, I know I have to convince my family that I know what I'm doing which I hope they'd understand.
