A week passed and Rafael learned so many things about his wife. Amber is not like those girls he usually hangs out with, she’s not afraid to meet with bare face with a messy hair. She laughs at the littlest things and is someone who is concern with others.

Sometimes he is doubting if the Amber he is with now is just a façade or real. But nevertheless, he fell for her. He loves her and he has no plans to let go of her. He’s not really good at expressing his love vocally but he tries to show it through his actions.

“Hon, I will be leaving you for a moment.” Gabriel said grabbing her attention from the book she’s reading. “I have to meet up with the gang, it seems that Danielle is in trouble and Joshua is asking for help.”

“Is that so?” Amber said and turned her attention to the book. “You can go, I want to finish reading this today.” She added.

“I’ll be back as soon as possible.” Rafael said with hesitation. He can’t leave her behind since his parents are out for a date. “On second thought, I will not go out today.” He said making Amber put a bookmark on the book and look at him.

“Aren’t you going to see your friends?” She asked frowning. “If you’re worried about me being left alone here in the house, you don’t have to worry. The helpers are here and the dogs, so basically, I am not alone.” She added.

“Even though. I will call them; we can have our meeting here.” Rafael said as he brings out his phone. “I really can’t leave you here alone.” He added as he dials Joshua’s number.

“It’s up to you.” She said and continued reading.

He doesn’t know if she’s hallucinating or what but he saw a glimpse of sadness and disappointment on Amber’s eyes. He wants to confirm it but Joshua answered his call.

“Hey, man! Is it okay if we will just meet here at my parents’ house? I can’t leave Amber here alone.” He asked.

“Okay, bud. Just inform the others, I still need to talk with Danielle.” Joshua answered before cutting the line. He immediately informed the others and it’s good that they’re fine with it.

“Did they agree?” Amber asked when he took a seat beside her on the couch.

“Fortunately, yes.” Rafael said putting his chin on Amber’s shoulder. “I really can’t leave you behind.”

“I will not run away from you, if that is bothering you.” Amber said, sadness and disappointment are evident on her tone. “Don’t you trust me?” She asked. “Well, how can you trust a person who…” Rafael shut her up by kissing her red, tempting lips.

“I have trust on you, Amber.” Rafael sternly said looking straight in her eyes. “It’s just that I don’t want to be away from you especially that aside from the helpers and the two adventurous dogs are here, you don’t have anyone to call.”
