AMBER sighed as she puts down her phone, she just finished talking to Mister Lim on the phone. They will meet tomorrow and she will give the two million as an advance. They agreed that they will meet on the parking lot of a mall just near the bank. At first, he is hesitant to get the advance, what he wants is for Amber to pay the full five million but she pleaded until he agreed.

She is about to take a bath when she heard a faint knock on the door, and it sprang open—as expected it is his husband, Rafael.

“Why?” She asked.

“For you.” He said handing him a small paper bag. She grabbed it and frowned when she saw what’s inside—it is the latest model of a phone.

“I don’t need it, Rafa.” She said and putting the phone’s box inside the paper bag and handed it to him. “Besides, I already have my own phone.” She said while getting her phone on the bed and showed it to him. “Same model.” She added, making Rafael surprised and curious.

“I thought…” Rafael sighed and didn’t continue what he is about to say, but she already can guess what he is about to say. Well, he can’t blame her husband, when Rafa is around, she didn’t bother to bring out her phone.

“It’s okay, I understand.” Amber smiled. “I can’t afford to sell this since it is the last present I got from my parents.” Rafael nodded.

“Can I borrow your phone for a moment?” Rafael asked and she didn’t hesitate to give her phone. She thought that maybe Rafa will check if it’s original or just an imitation. But she’s shocked that after a while he returned it to her.

“I already save my number; I also called my own number so that I can save yours.” Rafael said. “Now, I don’t know what should I do with this.” He sighed and looked at the paper bag he was holding.

“Return it?” Amber answered with a question mark. “Ehm, I’m sorry, I should have told you that I already have a phone.” She said.

“It’s okay, it is partly my fault for not asking.” Rafael said. “Maybe I can just sell it to Phil, he broke his phone earlier.” He added. “I’ll go ahead and reach him before he can buy.” He added and exited her room. Amber sighed and took a seat on her bed, she can sense it that Rafael is starting to doubt her identity.

“I don’t know how you managed to get two million but I don’t really care, all what I want is to get my money back.” Mister Lim said as he finished checking the bag full of bills. “You could just have transferred it to my account, why bother withdrawing this huge amount?”

“It’s a long story.” Amber said.

“Well, I don’t really care.” Mister Lim said. “I expect the remaining three million in two months.”

“About that, can you give me nine months to pay back the remaining three?” Amber asked.
