Flirting With My Ex-husband novel Chapter 18

Coincidentally, it had only been a few days, and Scarlett’s side and Jean's side met again.

When they met, Scarlett was sitting on a couch and leisurely flipping through magazines while waiting for Alexis to try on clothes.

Alexis was a shopaholic. She would spend five to six hours trying on clothes each time she shopped. Scarlett was used to it, and so was the shop assistant. The assistant prepared a lot of magazines according t o Scarlett’s preferences so that it would be easier for her to pass the time.

After all, Alexis was quite a big celebrity, hence she would be watched by the paparazzi every day. As such, she would only visit the few brand stores she was familiar with whenever she went out to shop.

The store closed as soon as they arrived. A sign for a break was also put up outside.

Theoretically, nobody would come in, but this could not stop people from barging in.

Julie did not know where to start with Raymond, but she was not resigned to the fact that the loss she suffered that day went by just like that. After asking around several times, she found out that Alexis and Scarlett would be out shopping today. Therefore, she purposely asked Jean out and planned to make things

difficult for Scarlett through her.

She deliberately brought Jean to walk around downstairs before going up, pretending not to notice that Scarlett was here.

As expected, once Jean saw Scarlett being so leisurely, she felt unbearable and wanted to barge in n o matter what.

At the end of the day, Jean was Raymond’s mother. The shop assistants recognized her and stopped her from entering, but they dared not stop her for real if she insisted on barging in.

Hence, just as Scarlett took a sip of her red date tea, she heard a mean voice. "Scarlett, you’re really bold. How dare you squander the Shaw family's money here!"

Scarlett frowned slightly when she heard Jean's voice. She turned and saw Jean walking over with her bag.

Next to Jean was the defeated enemy whom Scarlett had kicked into the pool a few days ago. Scarlett knew what was going on when she saw this formation.

Instead of responding to Jean, Scarlett smiled faintly a t Julie. "Miss Woods, did too much water get into your brain that night?"

'She actually thought about bringing Jean here to teach me a lesson?'

Scarlett was simply amused by Julie. In fact, she laughed.

Julie could barely hold the smile on her face when she saw Scarlett laughing with her lips pursed. "Miss Reed, Aunt Jean is talking to you.”

"Is that so?"

Scarlett raised her eyebrow as though she had just seen Jean. She glanced at her indifferently. "Oh, long time no see, Madam Shaw."

Jean was 62 years old this year and could be addressed as "Madam Shaw", but she never liked to be called that.

It so happened that Scarlett called her "Madam Shaw" right away, thus her face stiffened. "You're getting unrulier. No wonder Ray didn't want you!"

Scarlett smiled faintly. "Madam Shaw, you got it wrong. It was I who asked for the divorce."

Jean did not buy it. "Hah, you're just lying to other people."

"Lette, check out this..."

Alexis had just changed into a new dress. She did not expect to see Jean Larson, the old hag, as soon as she came out.

Her face changed right away. She took a few steps to the front of Scarlett and looked coldly at the people in the store. "Why are there other people here?"

"Miss Carter, we're truly sorry. Mrs. Shaw insisted on coming in, so we..."

Alexis might not dare to be so firm if others bully her, but if someone bullied Scarlett, she would fight even if she could not be victorious.

"I reserved this whole place, so you can only serve me today. Shoo all irrelevant people!"
