Shouldn't Have Kissed You novel Chapter 44

Chris kept kissing her on her shoulders as she slept. H e loved how she smelled and he couldn't help himself at all. Her scent was heaven and he was very much sure that he would never get used to it. Just like how she could still love him after everything that he had done to her.

He had humiliated her and yet she choose love him. For crying out loud he had done so much. So much that if he was the one who went through what she went he would be a bitter man. Who wouldn't anyway, after all, we're all human.

Yes, that is what we're. Only human that we crave for revenge when we're done wrong. That we only thing of hurting others more than we were hurt by them. It's not wrong to want that but to what extent. To what extent to we want to go and how sure are you that you'll come out of it a better person. A happy man?

That's how we intent to forget. We forget that in the process of having our revenge we also hurt. And worse, we hurt more than you hurt the intended one. And we also forget to ask ourselves what next after the revenge. I mean, one kills a wife because the cheated on them or they believe the did. You forget that jail is waiting for you once you're done and because you don't want to be jailed you chose the other way out which is killing yourself.

Isn't that what he did? Chris thought of his own mistake. It was his fault that they're forced into the marriage but he refused to believe that. He believed what he himself wanted to believe and that was him being wronged by Maya. And that is what he believed and wanted revenge for. But she, she taught him an important lesson.

a lesson that he would forever remember. a lesson that everyone should emulate for there own peace of mind. There was Leonel, the guy who chose to be by her side from the start and would have chosen him as a lover but she didn't. She chose the rotten apple like him. She gave him the pride of every woman in the world few hours ago.

What had he ever done to deserve it? He tried to remember any good thing he had ever done but her got none. The only answer that he could come up with was that God is a God of second chances. Yes, he had given him second chance with Maya. His Maya. She had become his few hours ago as he had become hers. That's what had happed and he was happy. Happy that he got a second chance with her.

Happy that she didn't chose to leave him. Chris felt her move in his arms and he was sure that she was waking up. She had slept like a log when they had finished their love making section which made him wonder how she could have done that. As for him, he hadn't slept a wink and if he did, he can't remember since he just kept thinking. Thinking of his life and hers. Them together. Forever.

Chris continued with his act and she stirred again in his arms. He wasn't going to lie cause the more she stirred and groaned, the more excited he got.

"I know you're up kitten." He whispered in her ears as he sucked her lobe. "I can hear you're heavy breathing."

this time Maya moaned and that made him a rock if that was even possible. He couldn't help but groan in her ears again. Maya tried to pull away from his wet kisses but Chris wasn't ready to let that happen. He wanted to be more and more intoxicated by her scent. When she fought him and managed to sleep on her back he took that opportunity to be on top of her.

The position alone had him remembering a few hours ago. Chris had warned her but she didn't listen. She chose not to and now he was having a hard time. He was never like that. Not even with Kimberly. He did love her but not the in a way that he loved Maya. To him with Kimberly one round was always enough for him. He never went for another round or cuddle up with and if he did that was when Kimberly complained.

But with Maya, everything came natural. He didn't need to do anything to be perfect in her eyes. In fact he was always clumsy since they exchanged I love you. Maya seemed to love it so he wasn't going to change that for anything in the world. Not even for his music.

Chris began to kiss her neck and she shivered under beneath him. She tasted heaven and he would do that like forever.

"Kitten, you taste so good that I want more." Again he groaned as he kissed her between her breast. "I don't know how long I'll last with you for years."

Maya pulled his head from where it was buried. "Chris, its so early and I haven't slept a thing." She complained gazing up at him.

Chris didn't break the eye conduct that they're having between then. "Cupcake, you've slept for the past seven hours." He leaned to peck her lips. "The sun is so high." Again he pecked her lips but this time twice.

"Chris, I'm still... you know?" She said shyly looking away from him.

Chris laughed. Like Literally laughed. This was the same Maya who had been teasing him for weeks and now after what happed she couldn't say what she was supposed to say? Who wouldn't laugh anyway. The fearless Maya was now a no word construct. Its crazy.

"Cupcake, I don't know anything." He said once he was done laughing. "I mean, what do you mean that you're still... you know?"

Still Maya looked else where but not him when she said, "I'm still sour down there." And after saying that she hide herself with her palms.

Chris just smiled at her. Of course he knew that and he wasn't planning of going another round until she was okay. he would take care of himself. he wanted to do was to show her how they'll be waking up every morning till the end of time. Yes, it was only that that could separate them. No one else except death and he was sure of.

"Kitten, I'm not planning on taking you because I know you're still sour." He said moving a little bit lower. "In fact I want us to just talk till the sun sets in the east."

Maya laughed and did wonder why she laughed. Did he say something funny? But he said nothing amusing at all, so he just waited for her to finish before he asked but she bit him into it.

"The sun sets at west, hubby." She said massaging his head.

Chris looked at her, did he say soothing else other than west? Hell, this woman was making him insane. Chris leaned in and took her lips with hers. They tasted heaven and he knew he said that a million times but what else could be compered with her? This time, the bold Maya was back. They're fighting for dominance and she was winning it.

Maya slipped her tongue into his and he was a goner. Talking with her had calmed the monster down but her in his mouth exploiting every corner of his mouth had him all awake again. It felt like hours being in each others mouth but it was worth every breath. Worth him lacking oxygen because of her. God, he could die a happy man at that moment.

"Aren't we a little excited here?" Maya said looking at him after breaking their kiss to catch a breath. The notorious Maya was now back and heck a part of him wasn't happy because he was going to go through hell with her.

Chris just smiled at her and decided to go with her.

"I warned you Maya and what did you say few hours ago?" he asked trying to remember what she answered him when he warned her not to wake the monster up.

Maya just smiled at him. Of course he knew she did remember but instead she changed the topic.

"I need to shower." She said trying to push Chris off of her. " And after we had breakfast, we can start our journey to coast. You know, the famous Diwani."

Chris didn't move on top of her instead he let all his weight on her. He had told her that they're spending the whole day together in bed and it seems that that kiss they shared had her memories gone. But he would remind her. Maybe this time with a different thing other than a mind blowing kiss.

Chris didn't want for them to travel again. He wanted them to just stay in does for today only. in fact they had a week plus to travel the places that Maya wanted to travel. Them traveling almost midday would take for ever and it would mean they would have no time for any kinda conversation at all. From Manor Giraffe to JKA (Jomo Kenyatta Airport) would take them an hour or more. Then the airplane to Mombasa which would take forty five minutes which is also an hour.

And him knowing Maya the way he had come to know her, she would fall asleep before they even got to there hotel. So to him, the Indian Ocean could wait for them. Besides, its not like it was going anywhere.

"Maya, I said we're aren't going anywhere today." He said locking his gaze with her green ones.

He didn't miss the look in her eyes before she said, "Chris, our flight takes of today."

"I already took care of that." He wasn't lying at all. He had changed their flight for tomorrow when he had woken up if at all he slept. "And about that bath, lemme run that for you."

He thought that she was going to complain but she didn't. So he got off of her and walked in the bathroom in all nudity. Chris run a bath for then and went back to pick his wife. He pushed the sheets away and carried her to the bath tab. Lowering her in it, he heard Maya ease once she was coursed by the bubble water. Chris just smiled and walked behind her and pulled her closer to him.

In silence, Chris washed Maya's hair massaging it. They stayed in the bathroom for almost an hour only getting out of it when the water became more cold. Maya changed into white shorts and a black t-shirt which seemed to be longer than the shorts. All this time Chris was making a phone call ordering there lunch as a room service. Once he ended the call, he pulled some grey boxers and put then on.

Twenty minutes late there was a knock on their door which had Maya saying thank God. This had Chris smile as he got up to get the door. He was glad that she was starving as much he was starving. Chris let in a young black lady walking in pushing a trolley with there food.

He walked to the bedroom and took his credit card to pay for the room service. Chris handed his credit card to the young lady and he could help but appreciate her beauty. she was beautiful and he was sure that she had allot of suiters lining up for her.

Just then, he heard someone touch his arm and by the shiver that his body got he didn't need to confirm who it was. But this hold wasn't their normal hold. This one was a possessive one. As possessive as it could get.

Chris felt pride take over his body. Maya was jealous of the young lady who stood there. To Chris she was armless or so he thought. But to know that Maya was affected by other ladies near him was a plus for him. Of course, as long as it never got out of control.

"Your services are highly appreciated but don't come back to pick this once we're done."

Chris didn't miss the look in the young lady's eyes when Maya said that.

"Jealous aren't we?" He asked when the young woman was out.

Maya laughed. "Me, jealous? Don't be so full of yourself mister." She said pulling away from him.

Chris took the remaining two bowls that she had left and followed her to the dinning area.

"Maybe I'm reading too much in the line." He said placing the bowls on the table. Maya said he was and he knew how to get her. "Then that beautiful young land will be the one taking this away once we're done."

Maya was gritting her teeth when she said, "If you want to not have that junior between your legs just try it." She pulled a plate and began to serve. "And yes, I was jealous, I mean who wouldn't be. She didn't even seem to see me in the room. She even had hard time with the card because her eyes were on you and you didn't seem to mind. And you find her beautiful?"
