It was a shocking news for Alice, which stunned her for a long time.

Legally, they were still married. What did that mean?

Alice felt her heart almost stopped beating.

Kennedy got up and walked on his straight and slender legs, and then stopped in front of her. He stretched out and removed the hair on her forehead away and said in a soft voice.

“For five years, we never divorced.”

Alice suddenly lifted her head, looked at him breathing tightly.

“Do you think you can’t stop being my woman at any time?”

“I will not let you go, because you've always been my woman, and you don't have the right to stop.”

Alice was stunned for a full three seconds, took a step back and then shouted angrily.

“Why don't I have the right to stop? After five years of separation, I can divorce you without your consent!”

Her voice was big, attracted the eyes of the people around. Kennedy did not care even if others watched standing there.

Alice minded that at usual time, but probably Kennedy angered her, so she shouted angrily and now she did not mind what others thought of her.

Divorce was an unpleasant word to say from her lips.

He took a step forward and held her arm.

“If divorce is as easy as you think, you wouldn't have been my wife for the last five years.”

Hearing that, Alice widened her eyes, “You control me?”

Kennedy was speechless and stared at her deeply.

Alice turned to leave. Kennedy wanted to catch up, but seeing her pale face, he stopped there.

He just told her the news, and she needed time to accept it, so it'd better to leave her alone.

At this thought, Kennedy turned to Nathan, “Send her back, be safe on the road.”

Nathan nodded and followed up.

Alice originally wanted to go home by car, but Nathan drove to her.

“Miss Shelly, get in the car. It's hard to get a cab here, and I brought you here. Mr. Kenney asked me to send you back.”

Hearing the name of Kennedy, Alice’s eyes trembled. She looked at Nathan sitting in the car, “What he said is true?”

“Don't follow me.”

Her thin figure showed determination. If he followed up, she would not get into his car.

At this thought, Nathan made a call to Kennedy and told him what happened, “Mr. Kennedy, what should I do now? She won't get in the car, and I can't help it.”

There was silence for a long time. After a moment, Kennedy said in a deep and cold voice, “Follow her until she comes home safely.”

“Get it.” Nathan hung up the phone, and then drove slowly behind Alice.

It was a seaside restaurant, so Alice took a long time to the road. The sea breeze blew her dress and hair messy, plus Alice looked outstanding, tall, so passers-by stopped to ask her.

“Beauty, where are you going? Shall I give you a ride?”

Alice looked at the man coldly, even did not reply.

She didn't need any courtesy at all to the men who tried to pick up.

Her eyes were cold, but because they were cold and her face was beautiful, so the man was attracted.

“Beauty, don't be so cold, ok? It's hard to get a taxi here. There are mostly tourists. My brother and I are the only two people in my car. Get in, I can send you back.”

Nathan had been following Alice behind, he saw that she was accosted, but he felt nothing, so did not go up to stop that, but soon he saw the car followed Alice.

But they did not find out Nathan’s car.

Frowning, Nathan wondered if he should go to stop or call Kennedy, Alice stood on the side of the road and waved to a car.

It was a van passing by, and the driver, who seemed to be an honest man, stopped when she waved.

“What is it, girl?”

“Sir.” Alice smiled, “I want to go to the city, can give me a ride?”

The driver was alert, looked around. Alice knew what he was worried about, so she said, “I came with my friend, but he can’t send me back now, so I can only walk back. Can you kindly give me a ride? I'll pay the fare.”
