Chapter 10 

Naomi was on social media, but she rarely used it. 

She only used them for messaging purposes, so she did not know that Amelia uploaded her divorce certificate on the internet, even making her divorce photo her profile banner. 

She returned to Horizon City and calmly told her parents about the divorce. Her parents were open and understanding people. They were silent for a long time after hearing what Naomi told them. They asked her if Edith knew about it. 

Naomi said she did not tell Edith, but Scott would inform her. Just like how she was informing them about the divorce and not Scott. 

After that, her parents no longer had any other questions. 

Back then, when they found out about how wealthy the Lawsons were, they were not willing to let Naomi marry Scott, because the disparity in their family wealth was too huge. They were not a good pair. One of them was bound to lose out. 

Naomi was their only daughter. They doted on her. Naomi grew up in a great family environment. She never once had to suffer. 

Her parents never thought that she needed to marry a wealthy man, just one who truly loved her. 

When they found out about the arrangement of the marriage, Naomi’s father asked her if she was willing to get married. If she was not, she did not have to get married. 

Naomi said that she wanted to. It was love at first sight for her from the moment she laid eyes on 

Scott.

She did not care about his family background or his money. She only cared about him. That was the reason why even if she had to move 2000 kilometers away from home to Willowstown and gave up the job that she loved just to become the perfect wife for him, she had no complaints about it. 

Her parents thought that Naomi would be sad because of the divorce. They planned to take her on a holiday to cheer her up. Who would have thought that not only was Naomi not sad, but she was also as calm as before. Perhaps even calmer than before. 

Initially, her parents refused to believe that she was not sad. Perhaps she was just putting on a brave face because she did not want them to worry.

Since she already came to terms with it, why should they continue worrying about her? They were 

relieved. 

Naomi’s grandfather was a famous wood carver. He once held a position in the palace. As time went on, her grandfather passed down his skill to her father, and her father to her.

Of course, it was not necessary to pass down the skill to the next generation. It just happened that Naomi’s father liked it, and so did Naomi. 

Although wood carving would roughen the hands, Naomi liked wood carving, so her parents supported her too. 

After marrying Scott, she gave up wood carving to become a kindergarten teacher, so she could put 

her focus at home. 

Naomi was no longer bound by her marriage, so this time, she returned to the job that she liked wood carving. She got a job at the local Cedarwood Museum. 

Her family owned a shop that solely sold wood carvings, but she did not want to work at home. She wanted to work at a different place. 

Before her marriage, she was working at the museum. After her marriage, she returned once more. 

She contacted the museum beforehand. The second day after she returned home, she went to the museum to report herself. She officially started working on the third day. 

In a blink of an eye, two weeks passed. All was well. 

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world. Could you help me carve it on this?” A voice rang out through the glass window. 

A fair hand with slender fingers reached through the counter window. He opened his hand, revealing a square wooden plaque.
