President’s Twins: Buy One, Get One Free novel Chapter 49

“It’s you who wants to buy it?”

Seeing that Joseph was protective to her daughter, Hayden could only give up. Glaring at Stella, she said, “I’ll forget it this time, but only this time. Stella, you won’t have any pocket money for next month.”

Stella pouted with grievance. Noah, who was standing aside, pulled her sleeve and blinked at her, indicating that he had money. Then Stella smiled again.

Just when Hayden wanted to remind Joseph not to spoil the children in this way, her phone rang suddenly. She pulled it out and swiped to answer - she heard noises from the other end of the line together with a woman’s voice with a trace of guilty conscience.

“Hi, Hayden. Are you home? Hurry up and come over, please.”

“What’s up?”

After talking for a few seconds, Hayden became tense. “What? How can you...”

Since Joseph was aside, she couldn’t speak too much. She hurriedly hung up the phone, looked at him, and said, “I have something urgent to deal with now. Would you mind looking after Stella for me?”

“Sure.”

“Thanks a lot.”

Finishing her words, heedless of whether Joseph had finished speaking, Hayden hurriedly bypassed the long lines to check out and trotted towards the exist of the supermarket.

Joseph wanted to say, “What’s wrong? I can send you there.” But now he had to swallow his words.

It was the rush hour after work. It took the taxi half an hour to get through the traffic before Hayden finally arrived at the security department of the airport. As soon as she walked in, she saw a woman dressed in black and white sitting straight on the chair. The sunglasses on her face couldn’t cover her pride and arrogance.

Her white blouse was tied into a black high-waisted fishtail skirt. The 12-cm black high-heels with red soles made her legs look slender and powerful. The handbag with silver sequins reflected the cold light. She emanated an aloof and distant aura.

“Hey, Alayna.” Hayden walked over in a hurry. “What trouble did you make again?”

“I made trouble?” Alayna took off the sunglasses, revealing her pretty face that was still filled with fury.

“I just saw someone being bullied and fought for justice. I’ve seen many hooligans but I’ve never met someone so bold - he dared to take off his pants under so many surveillance cameras in the parking lot of the airport in broad daylight.”

“What? Taking off his pants?” Hayden was startled. She hurriedly looked around Alayna while helping her up and asked anxiously, “Are you OK then? Did he take advantage of you?”

“No! It’s not me.” Alayna stopped Hayden’s hand checking aimlessly on her body.

She said in outrage, “I’ve told you I just helped someone else. It was another woman who was taken advantages of. She was picked up by her friend just now. That damn rascal was left at the scene.”

“Who’s he?” Hayden looked around but didn’t see anyone.

“He’s locked in there. This kind of man should be arrested. Otherwise he’ll continue endangering the society.”

“All right. All right.” Hayden heaved a sigh helplessly. “Since everything’s settled, I’ll go sign the statement. Hurry up and let’s go. Stella is still waiting for me at home.”

Alayna was a straightforward woman. She used to serve the military for a few years, so she was skilled in martial arts. Usually she could defeat three to five men at the same time. Hayden met her because she was fighting for helping others in a bar abroad. Since she met Alayna, she had to go to the police stations to take her out for countless times.

“Where’s your luggage?” asked Hayden.

Going out of the security department, she noticed that Alayna had only a handbag.

Suddenly Alayna recalled something.

She answered anxiously, “Whoops! It’s still in the garage!”

Finally, an airport staff took them to the lost and found department of the garage. They saw a burgundy-red aluminum suitcase standing out among the lost suitcases.

“I told you it wouldn’t be missing.”

Alayna pulled the suitcase, looking as if Hayden was making a fuss. “OK. I’m quite happy today. Let’s pick up Stella and have a big meal tonight.”

They walked back to the garage side-by-side. Usually Alayna would take the flight from this airport for her business trips, and she usually parked her car in the airport garage, so that she could drive home after coming back.

After putting her suitcase into the trunk, when they were seating in the car, Hayden suddenly heard a familiar voice behind them.
