Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 46

“It's okay.”

Before Adelaide could finish her words, she was interrupted by a serious reprimand from her best friend, “What is wrong with you? There is such a big puddle of water in the doorway, what if Adelaide fell because of it?”

“I'm sorry, I'm sorry.”

“Is it useful to be sorry? Can you please be more serious about your work? Your food was either salty or sour, do you have a problem with Adelaide?”

Adelaide pulled her sleeve, but she was angry and continued, “I know you have worked in the Baron family for a long time, but we can fire you at any time. You did not work seriously at all. Do you think it is easy to earn money?”

Damla had taken good care of Antonio before, so Adelaide said to her lowering her head, “Damla, it is ok. Hanna is just worried about me.”

At that, Damla nodded her head and quickly mopped up the water stains amidst Hanna's scolding, and then slipped back to her room.

Back upstairs, Adelaide patted her hand to comfort her, “Well, Damla did her best in the past. I guess there's something on her mind these days. Go wash your hands and change your clothes.”

Hanna grumbled to the bathroom. Adelaide was a nice person. If Hanna did not help her, she would be bullied.

Hanna get her hands on the water, and suddenly she touched the water stains with her hand. She thought Damla had broken something or leaked water from the bag accidentally.

But when she touched the water stain, she found it wasn't so!

She cautiously placed it on the tip of her nose and sniffed it!

It was not water but oil!

Hanna immediately ran out to inquire, “Adelaide, would Damla make such a mistake on a regular basis?”

Adelaide thought Hana was still obsessing over whether or not Damla took her job seriously, she swore with a smile on her face, “I'm sure, Damla is not a perfunctory person. She have served Antonio for more than ten years, I think it was an accident. Her grandson's health is not good, maybe her grandson is sick!”

She still remembered that when she first married into the Baron Group, Damla had asked Antonio to borrow a sum of money, saying that her grandson was born with a disease! Of course Antonio did not ask her to return the money.

Hanna's face gaped up, she shook her head and stretched out her hand, “No, look carefully, it's oil not water stains!”
