Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 42

Where Clarissa could see was always spotless.

She was lying happily at home. Not long after, the doorbell rang. Clarissa was annoyed by the ear-piercing doorbell, so she shouted, “Esme, Esme, someone knocked at the door!”

“Ok!” Esme put down the mop in her hand and jogged forward to open the door.

It was Flora, her mother at the door. She had never lived in such a big villa, which was sitting by the South Mountain, elegant and luxurious.

Originally she lived in a high-end neighborhood, but now she acted like a countryside woman and touched everything. Esme took the plastic bag she carried, of which the bottom covered with some mud.

At the thought of this was her daughter's home, Flora was proud and looked askance at Esme, “I am Clarissa’s mother, why don't you change my shoes quickly!”

Esme froze, because Clarissa had never asked her to do such a thing. She reluctantly squatted down to take off Flora’s shoes which cursing in her heart.

Clarissa helped Esme up and said with a smile, “Esme, my mother’s back is bad. I'll help her.”

Esme nodded and ran back to the kitchen in a flash.

Flora took off her shoes and said, “Clarissa, this is your house, how do you give her face? She is just a worker.”

Clarissa did not explain her mother's brainless words, rolled at her and went back to her room.

Clarissa locked the door before revealing her true face, “Mom, keep your voice down. This is the villa where the old woman gave me to raise my baby. If I dare to show off in the front of these underlings, Antonio will find out and I will be screwed!”

After hearing this, Flora praised her daughter for her intelligence. Clarissa didn't say anything more and gave her mother another contemptuous look.

“Clarissa, I told you to put a spy to that bitch, have you done it yet?”

Clarissa sat down with her mother on the bed, and replied with a deep smile, “Luckily, you reminded me. I have long arranged Damla to keep eyes on Adelaide. A few days ago her grandson was seriously ill ......” Clarissa felt like even God was helping her with Damla was bribed.

After listening to her daughter's words, Flora could not help but feel the pain of the 500,000. She cursed, “500,000 is a lot.”

Clarissa was unpleasant about her mother who was greedy. She had tried a lot of effort to make Damla agree to work for her.

If it weren't for the fact that the Baron family only had one subordinate, she wouldn't have spent such a large sum of money, but the good thing was that Damla eventually agreed. And now she knew everything about Adelaide.

“This house is much better than my house, Can I move in with you?”

She didn't mention it before because her daughter came in a hurry, and now that she was finally here, she mentioned it right away.
