Chapter 26 "What did you say? Trevor helped Emma?" Crystal asked Arianna incredulously. Leaving aside how much Trevor had ignored Emma duringtheir three years of marriage, just the fact that Emma had humiliated Trevor during their divorce was enough to make him hate her to the core.

How could he possibly help her? Crystal could not believe it.

"That's right." Arianna sobbed as she told Crystal about her grievances with Emma earlier.

After saying that, she angrily complained about Trevor.

"How can my brother do this to me? He and Emma are divorced, so why is he protecting her? What’s with that?!” She was only thinking abouther feelings, so she was completely oblivious to how much embarrassment and shame her words would bring to Crystal, who was currently Trevor's de facto wife.

Crystal took a deep breath to calm herself down.

Then, she comforted Arianna while trying to regain some of her pride.

“Arianna, Trevor might not have been protecting her.

Think about it.

When has he ever helped her when they were still husband and wife? Your brother is protecting you.

If he had not scolded you a little, it would not have gone well in public.

Isn't that right?" - She was secretly mocking Arianna for making Trevor clean up the mess she made, which inturn caused Trevor to interact with Emma.

However, with Arianna's level of intelligence, she could not discern the mocking undertones at all.

All she would understand from Crystal's words was that Trevor was protecting her.

On second thought, she believed that was indeed the case.

She immediately stopped feeling so depressed.

Therefore, she switched to ranting about Emma instead.

“But, Emma sure is hateful.

Ignoring me like that…

Does she think she is better than me? In the end, she used such unscrupulous meansto crawl into Trevor's bed." Crystal did not like listening to Arianna's words.

Whenever she recalled that Trevor and Emma had such a close physical relationship with cach other in addition to how their relationship had lasted forthree years, she immediately felt bad.

The relationship between her and Trevor had yet to develop that far.

In the past year following his divorce, she had hinted to him more than once.

However, he had not made an effort to take their relationship to the next stage.

Before their breakup, their relationship had only been one of simple and pure love.

It was not that he had not desired her at the time.

She had not wanted to give herself to him so quickly, lest he stopped cherishing herafterward.

And, now that she was desperately trying to give herself to him, he didn’t seem to want her anymore…

When the thought crossed her mind, she subconsciously clenched her hands tightly into fists.

Meanwhile, Arianna was still chattering away.

“Crystal, Trevor confined me at home as punishment.

You need to help me put in a good word.

Otherwise, I'm going to suffocate to death." "I got it.

I will speak to him about it." Crystal responded to Arianna perfunctorily.

"I have something to do, so I'm hanging up now." After ending the call, she no longer had the mood to continue cooking.

Thus, she turned off the stove and decided to ask somebody to investigate Emma.

After leaving the hospital, Emma took a cab home.

She called Susanna during the ride home to let the latter know that she was fine.

Susanna breathed a sigh of relief.

If the injury gave you a scar, I would have ripped Arianna apart.” She added, “Speaking of which,now that Arianna knows that you're back, I'm sure Crystal knows too.

Be careful lest she causes trouble for you again." Emma smiled slightly.

“I’m no longer monopolizing Trevor.

She has no need to target me anymore." Back then, Crystal had sent her a pregnancy report to announce that she was pregnant with Trevor’s child.

She had taken the news seriously.

Combined with how Trevor had ruthlessly said that he would never have a child with herbecause she was not worthy, she fully embraced the idea of letting go of their relationship.

Thanks to that, she took the initiative to divorce Trevor afterward.
