Chapter 22 The truth was that everybody around them could sense the subtle undertones in the relationship between Trevor and Emma. It was just that nobody dared to say anything Susanna successfully retreated after the quarrel.

With the mindset of watching a good show, she stood by the side to admire the sight ofTrevor's deflated expression after being repeatedly rejected by Emma and the interesting expressions flitting across Arianna's face.

Arianna had to watch her brother being courteous to his ex-wife.

Not to mention, the ex-wife was somebody whom she had always despised, bullied, and humiliated.

Therefore, this scene was definitely leaving a bad taste in her mouth.

In the end, it was Eleanor who spoke up from where she stood by the side.

She gently said to Emma, "Emma, I think you should go to the hospital.” Emma responded with some embarrassment.

Trevor narrowed his eyes slightly and followed after her.

"Trevor!" Arianna was so incensed by Trevor's behavior that she burst into tears.

She originally thought that her brother who happened to arrive at the right time would helpher with humiliating Emma to vent her rage.

Contrary to her expectations, her brother had not only made her apologize to Emma but also punished her to reflect on her mistakes in confinement.

She was absolutely furious.

You can buy love and all the material things in the world with money.

Manners." After delivering those words to Arianna in an indifferent manner, she turned around and left with Susanna.

The implication behind her words was to insult Arianna for having poor manners.

Arianna’s face immediately turned several shades of rage.

In the end, she was so embarrassed that she covered her face and ran away.

Meanwhile, her so-called boyfriend silently vanished after observing the scene from the back of the crowd.

A person who had been scorned by the gold medal screenwriter Eleanor was somebody he didnot dare to interact with again.

In this circle, the wealthy film producers supod at the top of the pyramid.

However, Eleanor was so influential that she could also be considered to be standing at the top of the pyramid.

If he wished to have a future in this circle, then he would need to stay far away from Arianna.

Emma and Trevor walked out of the film set one after the other.

His car was parked by the side.

However, she did not enter the car immediately.

She paused beside the car and directed her words at him.

“Mr.

Bateson, the scene where you righteously turn against your family and stop spoiling your sister isover.

I can go to the hospital myself." His hand paused right before he opened the car door, and a nameless rage burned at the bottom of his heart.

He then proceeded to close the car door heavily and turned around to look at her before he asked her a question through grittedteeth.

"Did you think that I was acting for the benefit of others when I scolded and punished Arianna?” She lightly countered with a question of her own.

"Isn't that so? If you protected Arianna after she threw such a tantrum, wouldn’t that be equivalent to announcing to the public that the Bateson Familyhas poor upbringing?" That was the only reason she could think of to explain why Trevor stood up for her and punished Arianna today.

It was for the sake of the Bateson Family's reputation.

Why else would he do that? He had never cared about her well-being while they were married, so why would he care nowthat they were divorced? He pursed his lips tightly, nearly fainting from anger due to her self-righteousness.
