Maureen was indeed her biological mother.

With a wry smile, she looked at Vinson. “You must be thinking that I’m a joke. Neither am I the glamorous Ms. Moore nor Ms. Southhall. I’m just… an illegitimate child.”

He frowned at her words. Putting on a stern face, he tried to correct her understanding. “I don’t know if you’re an illegitimate child. So what if you’re one? To me, you are who you are.”

Though he appeared to be icy-cold, his gaze was unexpectedly warm.

Arielle moved her stiffened fingers.
