Mysterious Little Wife

Once Lacey arrived at the Carters, no one was home but the servants. 

"Old Master Carter had ordered that no other filth was to be brought here except for you. Understand?" Aunty Mya gave her a sneering glare. Her eyes were full of sarcasm as she gazed at Lacey's handbag. 

"Are you going to frisk me?" Lacey asked indifferently, already guessing what Aunty Mya would do next.

Surprised, Aunty Mya lifted her brows and replied, "There's nothing I can do about it. I'm just following orders. Open the bag and show me what's inside!" 

Lacey gave a sly grin. "Since it's my father's order, I'd rather not have the bag!" 

She flung her bag toward the door of a sudden. Lacey then turned to Aunty Mya and went on to ask, "Now, which way is my room?" 

Aunty Mya was stunned. She hadn't expected Lacey to be that straightforward. 

Ms. Lillianna had given her orders to make things difficult for Lacey. She was told to steal her mother's picture and lose it so Lacey would cry in misery. 

However, how was she going to carry out this command now? What on earth was going on?

"I said, which way is my room?" Lacey's voice rang out again.

Although they're all old clothes worn by Ms. Lillianna, they're all famous brands. Not everyone has the chance to dress in such lavish clothes!" Aunty Mya said sarcastically.

Ignoring her, Lacey kept a deafening silence as she entered the room and slammed the door shut.

"How arrogant! Let's see how Ms. Lillianna handles you once she returns!" Aunty Mya grunted and turned to leave.
