Mr. Williams Wants His Ex-Wife Back novel Chapter 221

But he tried very hard to suppress it.

Rebecca would catch a cold if the water got cool, but he couldn't bring himself to wake her up because the black circles under her eyes were saying that she hadn't had a nice sleep for days.

After deliberating, Adam walked to her with a large bath towel and gently lifted Rebecca from the water. He wrapped the towel around the body and dried her scrupulously. During the whole process, he kept looking sideways.

He'd done the same thing for Linda when her hand had been injured, but doing this for Rebecca was so much harder. It was just toweling her but he felt like being put through some ordeal.

It took only a few minutes, but Adam was dripping with sweat as if he'd gone through an epic battle. Fortunately, Rebecca was in deep sleep and had no sign of stirring at all. After he was done, Adam yanked a new towel to wrap around her and carried her out of the bathroom. Putting her on his big bed mildly, he tucked the covers around her.

Rebecca seemed to feel much cozier on the bed and moaned lightly in her sleep. Trying to find a comfortable gesture, she turned to lie on her side and curled up.

Her serene sleeping face sent Adam's heart to frenetic palpitations. Before he realized it, he climbed onto the bed and held Rebecca in his arms with the covers between them, then dipped his head and kissed her forehead.

Rebecca seemed to sense his warm lips against her cool forehead and frowned slightly. Then she actually nestled into his chest.

Adam looked at her with profound and intense eyes and pecked another kiss on her forehead without moving his lips away after a long while.

"Mr. Williams, Ms. Smith, it's time for dinner!"

At about seven in the evening, Rebecca was woken up by the knock on the door. She opened her eyes, still not quite finished with sleeping, and saw the sexy Adam's apple of the man. She froze and then snapped her head up.

Adam happened to wake up and open his eyes, so they were drawn into each other's gaze with only inches between their faces.

When it struck Rebecca that Adam was sleeping right next to her with his arms around her, her brows furrowed tightly and she subconsciously pulled apart.

Only then did she realized that Adam was not in the covers with her.

"Hey, you must be hungry. Dinner's ready. Get up and eat first." Adam's natural tone was in contrast to Rebecca's flustered and wary face.

"I..." Rebecca looked at him with a frown and then glanced down at her chest. When she found that she only had a towel around her body, she asked in an annoyed voice, "You carried me out of the bathtub to the bed?"

Adam gave her a long look and then said "Mmm" as he got up.

Rebecca closed her eyes.

"Adam..."

"Rebecca, you're still my wife. Even if I did something to you, it made perfect sense, didn't it?" Adam spun around and said like a jerk when Rebecca was to say something angrily.
