Mr. Williams Wants His Ex-Wife Back novel Chapter 129

Adam sighed again, "I know."

"Adam, I'm downstairs at the Matthey now. I'll wait for you to have dinner, okay?" Hearing the word "I know" from Adam, Linda acted more humbly.

He frowned wearily, but still agreed, "Okay, wait for me. I'll go down now."

"Yes."

Hanging up the phone, Adam didn't go downstairs immediately. Instead, he stared at a picture of him and Rebecca walking out of the summit forum hand in hand while they were in New Orleans.

In the photo, Rebecca's eyes were clear and she was smiling with shallow dimples.

That day, she was wearing a white chiffon shirt, black trousers, and a beige trench coat, coupled with a pair of black high heels. She was just to the height of his earlobe, so he could kiss her on the forehead without lowering his head.

After staring at it quietly for almost a minute, he closed his computer. Then, he got up, took his coat and car keys, left, and went downstairs.

...

"Hey, Rebecca, why is your phone off?"

Rebecca stayed in the school library until six o'clock in the afternoon. Just as she was a little hungry and was about to go to the canteen for dinner, Caroline found her, running out of breath.

Rebecca unscrewed her water and handed it to Caroline. "There were a lot of nuisance calls, so I turned it off. Why are you looking for me?"

Caroline took a few deep breaths and said: "Didn't you read any of the reports about you released this afternoon?"
