Madam, Your Ex-Husband Is On Call novel Chapter 31

Chapter 31 Garbage Should Be Cleared Away

George thought he had seen too many incompetent women like her. Anastasia took away the position that should have belonged to him. How could he listen to her?

Anastasia's eyes grew gloomy, and she looked up at him coldly.

"It will not be late for you to say that when Starlight Entertainment becomes Christian's, but now, I have the final say."

George was so infuriated by her that he paced back and forth, twisting his waist, unable to contain the contortions of his facial features. His shrill voice grew even louder, and he threatened her directly.

"I'm telling you. I'm quitting, and you can handle it yourself!"

He was an outstanding agent in the company, with a very prestigious status in the entertainment industry. Starlight Entertainment had offered plenty of favorable conditions to keep him!

If George resigned as soon as Anastasia came to power, there would only be gossip about Anastasia in the industry.

So he dared to threaten her in this way!

He wanted her to know that not everyone could be offended!

Anastasia raised her eyebrows, glanced at him contemptuously, and smiled indifferently.

"Okay. Write a resignation report, and I will approve it. You don't have to come to work tomorrow."

Shocked, George stared at her with his eyes wide open. He pointed at himself in disbelief.

"Anastasia, how dare you fire me?"

Anastasia ignored him and sneered.

"If you want to curry favor with Christian, I can even write you a letter of recommendation!"

Although Starlight Entertainment had complex ownership structures, she didn't really care about the influence of Christian's shares.

George wanted to be a today of Christian wholeheartedly, so she might as well let him go.

He would be an eyesore in the company anyway.

George found Anastasia's response was beyond his expectations. She didn't persuade him to stay and showed no intention of compromising. He stared at her with wide eyes in shock.

How dare she?

George's delicate figure stiffened, and his eyes were fixed on her. He extended his finger and pointed it fiercely at her.

"Anastasia, do you know what it means if I leave the company? Do you know how much loss Starlight Entertainment will suffer?

"Once I leave, the artists and resources will be away. You will be responsible for all losses. Even if you kneel on the ground and beg me, I won't come back. Don't regret it!"

Anastasia pressed her lips and remained indifferent.

"George, goodbye."

She raised her eyelids with a bit of contempt.

George was trembling with anger. He almost failed to maintain his pointing gesture.

"Okay, let's wait and see!"

His piercing voice made a sharp voice, and the harsh tone was undisguised. He turned away.

He slammed the office door and left with an earsplitting bang.

Anastasia looked at the door with cold eyes. She didn't intend to fire him so soon.

But there were always people who wanted to condescend to her and put on airs.

If she put up with it, the other party would go further, and she would have to remain submissive.

Mae was the one who spoke for the company. If fairness was not upheld in this case, she would set a trap for herself.

She would not allow her subordinate to be treated unfairly.

Soon, Kevin knocked on the door and came in with a serious expression.

"Ms. Graves, I just heard that George instigated the artists in the company to collectively switch sides and take away our brand resources. Will his resignation have any impact on us?"

Anastasia chuckled, stood up, and went to make coffee.

"Don't worry. Those top-notch artists will not leave. Costly liquidation damages will await them, and they will not be willing to give in to the small studios.

"Those artists he can take away are not famous and want to fawn on him. They do not matter. He can help me to get rid of them."

Kevin looked at her knowingly, heaved a sigh of relief, and smiled.

"So that's the case. No wonder you are not anxious."

Anastasia raised her eyebrows, took a leisurely sip of coffee, and took a deep breath. Then she handed over the name list on the table.

"Get Beatrice away and let Mae in."

She never intended to keep Beatrice in Starlight Entertainment.

Garbage should be cleared away.
