Living With My Lady Boss by Blue Silver novel Chapter 20

When Sherry finally saw that it was Wilbur, she screamed even more. “Please don’t hurt me! I’ll apologize! I swear I’ll apologize!”

“Calm down. I’m one of the good guys.”

Wilbur untied Sherry and helped her onto a chair. He sat across from her, lighting a cigarette.

Sherry was trembling all over, not even daring to look Wilbur in the eye.

Whatever happened that day had scared the living hell out of her.

Wilbur shook his head and sighed. “What did I tell you? Don’t go down the wrong path. I was right, wasn’t I?”

Sherry burst into tears at once, sobbing loudly. Wilbur frowned, not knowing what to say

A long time later, Sherry’s sobs finally died down. She snuck a glance at Wilbur, saying in between hiccups, “1–I didn’t know I’d g–get into so much t–trouble. If I know, I would ven–never done that.”

“Do you know your life is in danger right now?” Wilbur asked.

Sherry began to sob again. “I know. I’m sorry. I’ll never do it again.”

Wilbur sighed, saying nothing.

Sherry was fresh into her twenties, and he did not want to give her too hard of a time.

Very soon, Elsa arrived with her team of officers. She shook her head at the sight before her. “You just had to take all the

credit.”

“You can claim it, alright?” Wilbur said with a smile.

Elsa snapped her fingers, and her team got to work at once, putting Cinq and his men in handcuffs.

“You’re going to have to come with us too, Sherry Divos,” Fla said

Elsa trembled at the words. She looked at Wilbur and pleaded, “Please! Please don’t let them take me away. I’ll say sorry, and I’ll compensate you too!”

Elsa asked coldly. “What’s that going to fix? You were involved in falsifying evidence and framing an innocent person. That’s enough to put you in jail, you know.”

“No! I can’t go to jail! I’m still young! Please let me go!” Sherry was scared out of her wits, begging and pleading for her life.

Elsa shook her head. “You had the perfect chance to apologize to Wilbur when he went to see you, and none of this would’ve happened.”

“I didn’t think it would get that bad! I’ll never do it again! Please let me go!”

Sherry finally realized how dire the situation was, but it was all too late for regrets.

Wilbur said, “That’s enough. Don’t scare the pour girl any further. Sherry, you’re not safe luere right now. Going to the station with these officers will actually be safer for you. Just tell them the truth, and I promise not to press charges.”

Sherry broke out into grateful sols at those words, thanking Willeur profusely.

Wilbur did not intend to press charges. He bunestly did not have the heart to destroy a young lady’s future just like that.

Just then, Elsa said, “Hey, do you think Telford Gills might be in danger?”

Wilbur said at once, “It’s very likely. Sherry was kidnapped, which meant they’ve decided to do this the hard way. I’ve got a pretty bad feeling about this.”

“Telford’s only being detained right now, so he’s not safe enough for sure. He needs to be transferred over to Special Forces right now,” Elsa said.

Wilbur nodded, and Elsa called up her department at once. She explained the situation, and Telford’s transfer was approved at

Wilbur locked at Sherry. “Someone made you frame me, didn’t they?”

“I was just making it up to get big online at first, but then someone paid me to keep hyping the situation up, so I did it.” Sherry did not dare to hide anything anymore, revealing everything honestly.

Elsa asked at once, “Who?”

“A Mister Pavian? I don’t know what his first name is.”

“Jordan Pavian,” Elsa scoffed, takding out her walkie–talkie. “Team Two, arrest Jordan Pavian immediately, over.”

“Yes, Madam.”

“Wow, we finally got the guy. Mister Penn, does this mean I’ve just done a huge favor for Cape?” Elsa laughed.

Wilbur chuckled as well. “I guess so. Get Faye to take you out for dinner. You can have whatever you want.”

“Are you kidding? You’re the big boss of Cape, and you’re telling Miss Yves to buy me dinner instead of doing it yourself?” Elsa was clearly displeased.

Those words shook Sherry y to her core

This guy was the big ba** behind Cape Consortium?

She had messed with someone so unimaginably powerful. Sherry began to tremble at the thought.
