I Refuse to Divorce novel (Zoe and Mason) novel Chapter 35

His tone was mocking. "Zoe, you've become quite assertive now."

After saying that, he let go of her and went to take a cold shower. Ten minutes later, Mason emerged from the bathroom. He looked at Zoe, who had spread a thin blanket on the sofa, clearly intending to sleep there for the night.

Annoyance welled up inside him. The suppressed anger surged up again.

Without thinking, he lifted Zoe and threw her onto the soft bed, pressing down on her.

Zoe buried her face in the pillow.

Mason had no intention of touching her, as he was still upset.

However, just when he was about to let her go, Zoe's phone rang with a text notification.

Mason raised an eyebrow. "Who's messaging you at this time?"

Still sore from being held down, Zoe replied with a hint of irritation, "It's none of your business."

Mason sneered.

He pressed down on her delicate shoulders and reached for her phone on the bedside table.

Using her fingerprint, he unlocked it. Zoe felt embarrassed. "Mason, you have no right to do this."

Mason ignored her.

His eyes fixed on the message, his expression as calm as water. It was from Cecil, with no caption. It was just a night scene photo.

This message seemed devoid of ambiguity. However, as adults, how could they not understand the implicit meaning? Only someone who admired a woman would share such moments late at night.

Mason stared at the message for a while. Later, he looked down at the woman beneath him.

Her face was buried in the pillow. Her nose was red. Even her crying seemed to add a touch of charm, explaining why so many men were captivated by her.

Mason tossed the phone aside.

He leaned closer to her ear, his voice gentle.

"It's so late at night and he's still texting you. Tell me, how far have you gone with him, huh?"

He lifted her body as he spoke, teasing her with no mercy. He knew Zoe's weaknesses.

Zoe lay on the pillow, trying to resist but unable to break free. She could only let him have his way. Yet, she remained stubborn, biting her lip, refusing to plead with him. Instead, she let out a soft scream when he went too far.

Her forehead was covered in fine sweat, and she looked disheveled. She endured his punishment.

This was the real Mason. This was their true marriage. All the previous tenderness was just an illusion. What he loved most was tormenting her in bed.

She remained silent, fueling Mason's raging anger.

His deep voice, tinged with resentment, sounded, "Tell me, how far have you gone? Have you kissed him? Has he touched you? If you don't speak, I have ways to make you talk!"

Finally, Zoe could not endure it and started crying beneath him.

"Nothing! Nothing! Mason... I haven't done anything with him!"

Mason stopped tormenting her.

He lowered his gaze to the woman in his arms, her delicate face tinged with a faint blush, tears glistening at the corners of her eyes. He had made her miserable.

Unable to control himself, he licked away the tears from her eyes.

Zoe was startled, thinking he was about to torment her again.

Her gaze was vacant, and she murmured with a husky voice, "Nothing. I haven't done anything with him."

Mason cradled her face and kissed her.

His articulate fingers slid into her black hair, kissing her passionately.

Zoe did not resist.

She blinked lightly, seemingly not yet recovered. She looked obedient, and Mason continued to kiss her, reaching down to untie her bathrobe, preparing to make love to her.
