I Refuse to Divorce novel (Zoe and Mason) novel Chapter 12

Mason pinched her delicate chin before she could react and said, “Are you going to prostitute yourself?”

Zoe was trembling, but she could not deny what he said. He leaned in close and muttered as if they were lovers. “Who’s going to buy your service? Everyone in Brookesville knows you’re my wife. Who would dare lay their fingers on you?

“Moreover, are you sure you can bear the touch of another man? Men who frequent prostitutes go right into the main action, much as how we did it on the night we got married. It was so painful for you. Did you forget about it already? ”

Zoe paled. She could never forget how tough he was with her. He was taking revenge on her. She almost died that night.

Mason stopped when he saw that his intimidation had done its job. He released her and fondled her cheeks gently. “Return to me. We can go back to the way things were.”

Zoe’s neck stiffened. She saw a brand new violin in the bookshelf across the room. She recalled the news saying that he spent twenty million dollars on the violin to make Lilith happy. So, that is the violin in question…

She sneered. Go back to the way things were? Was she supposed to just be his plaything? Was she supposed to serve him and try to win his favor, only to get nothing in return? Even his secretary disrespected her. Was she supposed to share her husband with another lady, just like she used to?

She could not give a rat’s ass about her old life and her husband!

Her smile slowly vanished. Zoe said deliberately, “Get yourself another wife!” With that, she turned around. She was about to leave when she was hugged from behind. Mason held her slender waist and leaned in behind her ears, the scent of his aftershave and his manly odor was enough to turn her on.

Zoe trembled slightly. He sneered and caressed her. Very soon, he was touching her down there. She lifted her head a fraction and her slim legs were trembling uncontrollably. He knew her body too well. If he had the intention, then he could toy around with her and make her unimaginably aroused.

That was what he was doing now.

Mason pressed himself on her slender back. He said while caressing her provocatively, “You want a divorce? Who’s going to please you if we’re divorced? You’re such a slut! Do you think the average man could satisfy you? Hmmm?”

Zoe was embarrassed. She tried hard to break free. She had been his wife for three years. There was something only she knew. Mason might look like a gentle businessman in public, but he was very rough in bed.

He loved listening to her screams and cries when they were having sex. Sometimes, she thought he might have a fetish for abusing ladies.

Mason was stepping out of line. Zoe could not take it anymore and slapped him across his face. Everything seemed to freeze at that moment. This was the first time she hit him. It was probably the first time he was ever slapped. To make matters worse, he was slapped by his docile wife.

He was short-tempered. His face grew grim instantly and his erotic passions were all but forgotten. It was as if the whole thing was an illusion.

Mason yanked her chin, leaned in close, and said coldly, “Good for you. You actually hit me!”

“Are you seriously divorcing me?”

“You did everything necessary to get me to marry you three years ago. Now, you’re doing everything you can to leave my side! Do you think you can just leave the Lockwood family when it pleases you? Do you think I’m a meek man who can be pushed around?”

Zoe shuddered. He finally said what was on his mind. He hated her. He hated her family and Noah as well. He hated having to marry her because of that little accident.

That was why he took it out on her when they had sex. He rarely did foreplay on her. Instead, he loved seeing her cry because she could not take it.

That was why he chose to do nothing when he could have helped out the Sanders in a pinch.

Zoe did not bother explaining what happened in the past. She merely said with quivering lips, “I didn’t know what was good for me, Mason. That’s why I fell in love with you!”

It would never happen again…

With that, she started tidying up her attire. Some of the buttons on her silk shirt were undone, her skirt was pulled down to her thighs, and her stockings were pulled all the way down to her knees.

She looked pathetic and undignified.
