I got married without you (James and Amelia) novel Chapter 35

After Amelia ran home in the rain, she removed her dress and the diamond necklace around her neck and threw them into the box.
Tomorrow she would send these things back to Kevin. His things were too dis gusting, and she would never accept them.
After closing the box, she went to the bathroom, turned on the tap in the bathtub, and lay down.
She held the bath ball and desperately washed her face and back. She rubbed her skin red before looking at herself in the
mirror.
After removing her makeup, her face was left with a sickly pallor, devoid of any vitality or energy, and her eyes were dimmed to the point of lifelessness.
She couldn’t see the light, couldn’t feel the warmth.
She was like dirt y and that everyone could step on.
However, she was also a person with dignity…
“Dignity.”
Amelia thought to herself with a self-deprecating smile. From the moment she sold herself to James, she had lost her dignity.
She dried her hair and lay down on the bed, extremely tired, and fell deeply asleep again.
After getting drenched in the rain, her condition worsened significantly. She buried her head in sleep until the afternoon of the next day.
Eva had been on duty all night. She slept from morning to afternoon. When she got up and prepared dinner, Amelia was still asleep.
She had no choice but to knock on Amelia’s door. She called out to her, but there was no response from inside. Only then did she realize that something was wrong.
Eva quickly pushed the door open and walked in. When she saw the blushing face of the person on the bed, she quickly reached out and touched her forehead.
It’s so hot…
Eva quickly lifted the quilt to help Amelia up. “Amelia, you have a high fever. Get up quickly. I’ll take you to the hospital.”
Amelia, unconscious due to the fever, subconsciously resisted when she heard the word “hospital.” “We’re not going to the hospital…”
“You have a fever. How can you not go to the hospital?”
