She could hardly remember what happened after her encounter with Tanya. She just realized that she is in her car when her cell phone started ringing. Nick's number is flashing. She ignored the call and instead, she maneuvered her car out of the basement parking. She wants to get away from him today and she doesn't care if he fires her for leaving the office. She will go back to work tomorrow. She has no idea where to go so she called Eve.

(At Eve's place)

"Are you really sure you want to drink?" her friend asked as she opens a bottle of vodka.

"Yeah. Anyway we'll just stay here so it's fine." she answered.

Eve shrugged her shoulders. "Okay. Maybe it's better if you get into something more comfortable. Wait, let me get a top and skirt for you. "

She just nodded. She doesn't really drink but she wants to blow off steam after what happened at her boss' office and what Tanya said to her. It is very painful for her to discover Nick's real intention to think that she was sort of cheating on Derick with him.

Eve gave her a white sleeveless body fit shirt and a short black skirt. She stood up from the carpet to change in the bathroom. Eve is on the couch pouring some alcohol in a glass when she got back. She carelessly sat on the sofa too. She grabbed one throw pillow to cover her thighs because the skirt is way too short for her. She put it on her lap.

Eve gave her the glass with vodka. "Now tell me what's wrong."

She didn't respond immediately. She drank the booze and when she finished it off, she leaned forward to get the bottle to put some more in her empty glass. She drank two half-filled glasses before munching on some chips.

Her friend's left brow arched. " Geez girlfriend! I guess whatever is bothering you is something serious!"

She sighed then poured some more vodka in her glass. Maybe after another glass, she would be able to open up to her.

"But you know what? There is something I noticed just now girlfriend."

She took a sip before turning to her."What?"

"If I didn't know you well, I would think that you already have a boyfriend." Eve's eyes are narrowed. She is looking at her with an odd expression.

It was her turn to raise a brow before gulping some booze again. " What are you talking about?" she asked with a light laugh.

"Hey! Take it easy on the alcohol! We are not going anywhere so there's no rush! I don't want you passing out on me. We have some talking to do."

"Okay. Sorry." she apologized with a giggle. She feels a little light-headed already.

She frowned. She didn't see that question coming. Then maybe due to the effect of the alcohol, she just tittered continuously. And to her friend's surprise, she started laughing. She laughed and laughed until she felt her sides are gonna split from laughter.

Eve's just sat quietly while looking at her. She has a slight frown. When she finally stopped laughing, she wiped the tears from her eyes with the back of her hand.
