His Beloved Mate novel Chapter 44

"Don't worry. I'll handle it," said Cheryl with a smile.

Cassie had never thought that attending a banquet was such a troublesome thing.

The party began at about eight o'clock in the evening, but Cassie actually had to do the care, change the dress, do the hairstyle and pick up gifts from three o'clock in the afternoon. It was already half past six in the evening. It would take nearly thirty minutes to go to Mrs. Carla's home from the West Mountain Linyu.

Cassie's shoulders were trembling. Cheryl noticed her nervousness, said: "Well. Are you really so nervous?"

After taking a deep breath, the car stopped in front of Mrs. Carla's house.

Cassie plucked up her courage and got out of the car. The driver said, "Mrs. Dylan, remember to tell me when you want to leave."

Cassie nodded.

Mrs. Carla was standing at the door to receive guests. She looked good because of her good maintenance. She was wearing a cheongsam and an emerald diamond necklace around her neck.

Cassie came all the way under the moonlight. Mrs. Carla recognized her at the first sight. She walked up to her, held her hand and said, "Is this Mrs. Dylan?"

Cassie said, "It's me. Mrs. Carla, you'd better call me knitting."

On the way here, Cheryl told her that Mrs. Carla had a good relationship with Pearl. Pearl didn't have a daughter, and Dylan's mother had passed away a long time ago, so Mrs. Carla often went to accompany her, so they became familiar with each other.

Mrs. Carla looked at Cassie up and down, patted her hand and praised, "Good, good, good. Cassie. Don't call me Mrs. Carla. Dylan has always called me aunt. You can call me aunt too. By the way, why didn't Dylan come with you?"

Cassie smiled, "He has a meeting tonight, so I have to come here on his behalf. Will aunt blame him?"

Mrs. Carla smiled and said, "Of course not. He asked you to come here."

Cassie hugged Mrs. Carla politely. Mrs. Carla patted her hand and said, "Go inside and have fun. If you are not satisfied with anything, just tell me."

Cassie nodded and breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh, my God. I'm so nervous," Cassie whispered to Cheryl.

It was the first time that she had attended such an occasion alone. She was so nervous that her palms were sweating.

With a smile on her face, Cheryl said in a low voice, "Mrs. Carla is easy to get along with. I'll keep an eye on them and send the gifts to them. It's not easy to do the Chinese painting. I'm afraid that they might break it."

Cassie nodded, "Go ahead."

When Cheryl was about to leave, Cassie walked into the room in her high-heeled shoes.

The heating made her feel better. Many ladies and debutantes gathered near the spiral staircase. The moment Cassie came in, all kinds of eyes were focused on her. She was a little embarrassed, but she still smiled politely.

She didn't know what to say, so she just smiled!

"Hey, look, is that Mr. Dylan's wife?"

"Yes, yes. I saw the live broadcast of her and Mr. Dylan two days ago. Mr. Dylan loves her so much."

"How can we envy such good luck. That's Mr. Dylan. That's my dream lover! !"

"Is this Mrs. Dylan?" A strange voice suddenly sounded in her ears.

Cassie gathered in the corner, and the hand holding the cake on the long table suddenly hung in the air. She was stunned before she turned around and saw the woman in a black dress looking at her with a smile on her face.
