Elaina felt that the woman in front of her was very strange. Her son was fine, but she insisted on having him undergo an operation. Why?

Just then, she was pulled by warm hands suddenly. Elaina turned her head and saw that it was the teenager lying on the bed. She asked patiently, “What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”

“I don’t want the operation,” he said in a very low voice as if he was afraid that the woman would hear him.

Elaina’s eyes dimmed. She felt something was not simple.

However, before she could ask more, her phone rang. It was from the operating room, urging her to go over.

She was in a dilemma.

“Dr. Gainsford, go ahead to the operation room. I will take care of this.” The doctor in the emergency room said.

Elaina glanced at the family members at the door, then looked at Kent on the bed, and said to him, “Don’t worry. You don’t need an operation. Just listen to this doctor, and he will cure you.”

“Okay.” Kent nodded, feeling relieved. It was fine as long as he did not have an

operation.

After explaining some matters needing attention, Elaina got up and left for the operating room. The patients there were much more severe than here, and they had to undergo surgery today.

“You can’t leave!” The woman said and was about to pull Elaina. “If you leave, who will operate for my son?”

However, before the woman could touch Elaina, she was stopped. “Who are you, shrew? How dare you put your hands on my dear Dr. Gainsford?”

Saul showed up with a bouquet of red roses in his hand. He looked at the woman in front of him with a vicious expression and pushed her away.

Elaina wondered, my dear Dr. Gainsford?

When did I get so intimate with him?

Elaina was speechless, but she did not have time to chat with him. “Comfort the patient’s family members. Inform the medical department if needed.”

Informing the medical department in advance was to prevent the family members from causing trouble.

Elaina walked over to the operating room. Saul hurriedly went with her behind. “Since I did you a favor, can you give me a chance to have dinner with you after the surgery?”

“We’ll see.” She did not refuse, nor did she agree.

“Okay, I’ll wait for you.” As Saul spoke, he sat at the door of the operation room and waited. To him, as long as Elaina did not refuse, he would have a chance.

Elaina ignored him and went straight into the operating room. After changing a gown,

she devoted herself to the surgery.

When Jalen brought Marie to the hospital for a follow-up check, he happened to see Saul holding red roses in his hand. Jalen’s face instantly turned extremely gloomy.

“Hey, Mr. Halton. Are you here for your girlfriend’s prenatal checkup?” Saul also saw Jalen. He made fun of Jalen while looking back and forth between Jalen and Marie.

“Mr. Judson, how can you say that? I… Nothing has happened between Jalen and me.”

Marie blushed.

She said to herself, I haven’t even become Jalen’s girlfriend yet. This guy actually said

that I was here for a prenatal checkup. He has gone too far!

Saul glanced at her as if he was looking at a fool.

He thought, can’t you see that I am deliberately mocking Jalen?

“You don’t have good taste,” Saul said to Jalen, “I heard that you were divorced. Is that

true?

“Well, I heard that your wife came from the countryside. I guess you don’t take a fancy to her.” Saul did not care whether Jalen replied or not but continued to talk.

“However, this one is no good either, probably not as pretty as your wife.”

Saul had never seen Jalen’s wife, but he had seen Marie, who was ordinary-looking and

looked like a fool. He wondered what Jalen was thinking.

“Shut up!”

Jalen shouted furiously, “Marie is a friend of mine. If you dare to talk nonsense again, I

will blow your head.”
