Date with Me, Sugar Mama novel Chapter 42

Viola shivered in pain in his arms. Cold sweat ran down her forehead. Her voice was vague, “Don't go to the hospital. I am fine.”

Instead of answering, Steven piled her into his car and said to Jordan, who had been waiting in the front seat, “Go to the hospital.”

Viola had no strength to move, so she was forced to lean on his arms. Seeing that he was determined to go to the hospital, she had to say, “I have a stomachache. I can only have injection in the hospital. I am allergic to medicine. You might as well send me home and give me some food.”

Allergy?!

Steven looked sideways, his deep eyes seemed to flash with surprise, “How did you get through the stomachache before?”

“Eat something and hold on firmly, there is nothing else I can do.” Viola smiled sadly.

He said nothing more, but tightened his arms and moved his body to make sure she was comfortable.

A convulsive throb of pain spread to her limbs again. She took a breath and hung her head in pain. She didn't want Steven to see her like this. She said in a husky voice, “Steven, I don’t want to go to hospital, I want to go home and have something to eat.”

“Jordan, go buy some food.” Steven finally relented.

Viola breathed a sigh of relief. She curled up in Steven's arms. Steven was like a warm flame to make her cold body regain some warmth.

Jordan ran back after he got the food and drove to the city.

Viola looked up weakly. She could only see his thin, tightly pursed lips and the perfect line of his jaw. The still, yellow lights kept flashing, casting his handsome, clear silhouettes over and over on the side of the carriage.
