Chapter 12 

Lilac had been living in the pack house for a year now ever since she found out that she was Aiden’s mate. Aiden personally escorted her to the pack house from the orphanage, the place, where she had been living ever since she was little. 

She didn’t really remember about her childhood or how she could end up in the orphanage.. 

The earliest memory she had was when she woke up one day and it was snow outside, it was so white, as if the whole world was covered by powder. 

“Do you want to walk on your own, or do you want me to carry you, so we can make a grand entrance?” Hunter asked playfully. 

Lilac glared at him. She shouldn’t have acted this way in front of him, because by any mean, he was the alpha and she needed to respect him. 

Not to mention, she was nob*dy now. Without Aiden, she was not the future luna of the pack, she was only a girl from the orphanage, who was lucky enough to get the attention and affection from the alpha and the 

luna. 

“I will walk 

“Nice choice.” Hunter helped her to get out of the carriage by holding Lilac’s hand. “Even though I would love to make a memorable entrance with you.” 

“Don’t even think about that.” Lilac glanced at the shirt he was still wearing, which was stained by his blood. He only wore a nice cloak on top of it, to cover the bloodstain. 

This man was very cunning. Maybe he was ready to take it off if Lilac tried to act funny and expose what happened, as he asked for a punishment for her. 

Lilac scoffed. Her heart was so heavy, but this time, it was not because of the problem with Aiden, more like she found a weird distraction from this annoying man. 

“Are you ready?” Hunter grabbed her hand and didn’t let it go, as if he didn’t want Lilac to runaway once they entered the hall, which looked like something she would do. 

“No.” Lilac tried to free her hand, but it was no use, she should have learned that ever since they were in that dark alley. His strength was something else. 

“How do you feel?” Hunter completely ignored Lilac’s short answer earlier. 

Now they were already in the pack house, there were some people in the hallway, where they could see Lilac and Hutter together, they looked so shock and couldn’t even hide it in time when Lilac caught their 

eyes, 

“I feel not good, as if I am going to throw up. Though the possibility was so small, Lilac wanted him to feel disgusted with her replied, yet it simply didn’t work that way. 

“It’s fine. If you want to throw up, just throw up. This party is suck after all.” 

Lilac turned her head to look at him in disbelieve, she wanted to tell him that he was the one, who was suck and she wanted to throw up because of him, yet she didn’t have the audacity to say it out loud, after

all, no matter how annoying and bothersome this man was, he was still the alpha, while she was nob*dy 

without Aiden… 

The last statement irked Lilac so much, since her future was determined by that cheater. 

Headache, Lilac didn’t even want to talk much with Hunter, as she let him to escort her into the hall. where she could hear the lively music from inside and some laughter, they looked enjoying this party so 

much. 

While Lilac didn’t even have time to even pay close attention to the beautiful decoration or how magnificent this place had turned out. 

After all, she was the one, who had arranged everything related for tonight party to welcome the lycan, but she was not pleased to see those smiling faces around her. 

“Are you sure, you are going to this party with me, instead of being punished?” 

Lilac threw him a dagger look, but he put up an innocent expression, though there was nothing innocent about him at all.. 

Upset, Lilac opened the door to the hall by herself with her free hand and pulled Hunter inside, which shocked the alpha. 

“What? Are you afraid to be seen with me?” Lilac asked tauntingly. 

For a moment, Hunter was caught off guard by her boldness, but then a devilish smile appeared on the corner of his l*ps, as he twisted their hand and he led the way instead. 

“Of course not. This is an honor to come to the party with you, Lilac.” Hunter lifted his head. 

up and smirked when he could feel the two of them became the center of the attention and the girl beside him wanted to shrink her b*dy, thinking she could cease to exist at this moment, but instead, he put his arm around her hips and strode across the room. 

They could hear a lot of gasps came from the people around them upon seeing they were together. 

“It seems they are really excited to see us together,” Hunter whispered against Lilac’s ear, as he leaned over. This kind of gesture looked scandalous, but Lilac didn’t pay attention to him, as she was busy to pretend like there was nothing happened. She tried to act calm, until Huiter could feel how her palm became 

sweary. 

“In my eyes, they look like they are going to curse at me,” Lilac replied stiffly. 

“Really? I thought, it’s their happy faces.” Hunter shrugged his shoulder nonchalantly and ignored the way Lilac glared at him, instead he nodded to a certain someone before his eyes. “What about him? What do you think is in his mind right now?” 

Lilac didn’t understand what he was saying, but when she followed his line of sight, this was the last person she wanted to meet, but somehow, she knew, she wouldn’t be able to avoid him.
