Alpha Loren novel Chapter 130

Angels sound kinda odd. Quite a lot like helicopters in fact. And God, that light is blinding.

Pun intended. If I'm gonna die at least let me find some humour in it.

A few moments later, something landed on the snow a few metres away from us. It fought through the deep snow to us and lifted me into its arms.

"Leo?" I asked weakly. My vision was blurry and the light was still blinding but it was my mate alright. In life and death, I'll always remember that beautiful scent.

"I've got you. You're okay," he said softly as I harnessed some of his warmth.

I didn't know Leo was an angel...but I'm glad he is.

Oh damn. Maybe I'm not dead.

I felt my mate carry my very much still alive body away from where I had been laying and then an odd floating sensation like we were flying. A minute later, I found myself on a hard floor with the sound of rushing air thudding through my head.

As I fought hard to stay conscious,  a thick blanket was thrown over me and something warm put inside my jacket.

"Max," I croaked in a hoarse voice.

"Alpha, we don't have much time. The wind is picking up again," another voice said. "We won't be able to fly for much longer."

"Please," I whispered. "Save him," I finished before my vision blacked out again and I lost consciousness again.
