“Laurel, I thought you don’t like clubs,” Bruno said.
Laurel smiled and said, “I’ve never been to one and want to have a taste before my wedding.”
Bruno said, “I will go with you.” He seemed like a tender and sweet lover.
Shelley found it quite disgusting.
She turned to Hayden and Erik, “Let’s go to Acme Club. It’s your place.”
“OK.” Hayden looked indifferent.
Shelley looked at Erik.
“I’ll go with Hayden.”
Shelley said, “People may think you guys are a couple.” She was a big mouth.
Erik said, “I am straight.”
Shelley laughed, “So you mean Hayden is your girl.”
Hayden glared at her.
He didn’t bother to argue.
But where there was Shelley, there was fun.
“Avril and Gemma, come with us.” Shelley looked casual.

“We are going to a club. Come with us,” Laurel said.
Nathan looked at Shelley.
She was holding Paul’s arm and didn’t see him.
Laurel said, “We are all going. You just came back to the country and should meet more people in Rosegrad City.”
“Sure.” Nathan agreed.
Nathan was easygoing.

Erik was tired of arguing and said, “Fine. Let’s sing together.”
“Good. Which song?” Shelley asked.
“The Lovers on the Island.”
Shelley was a bit shocked. “Do you have a crush on me?”

Erik rolled his eyes. “No lovers would sing this song. It’s a song about breakups.”

Erik smiled.
He looked at Nathan.

And he looked at Shelley.
Shelley turned away.
The music began.
And Erik and Shelley stopped arguing.
They began to sing.
The others in the room were toasting.

Everybody was hiding their true selves.
Bruno was the first one. “Hayden, we should have a drink together. We are both youngsters with a promising future.”
He always acted like a gentleman around people.
Hayden didn’t refuse and picked up his glass. “What about your fiancée?” He turned to Laurel.

Laurel suddenly thought of her kiss with Bruno in the garden.

But he ignored it.

But she sensed that the man was not as sloven as he looked.
“If you don’t mind, I can drink for her. I’ll have two glasses,” Bruno said.
“You are a good husband. Let’s do that. Cheers!” Hayden said and drank his wine.
Bruno did the same.
And after the first glass, he had a second one.
It went on the whole night.
Whenever Bruno drank, he had to drink for Laurel.
Erik sang with Shelley for a moment.
He put down the microphone when he saw Hayden’s glance

They planned to make Bruno drunk.

Gemma felt Shelley’s glance and said, “I don’t know, either.”

Shelley was speechless.
She looked at Paul.
Paul was sitting by the wall.

He was not able to get along well with these rich men from the upper class. He was brought up in a different kind of family.
Paul had worked for one year and was better at this now. He wouldn’t have shown up at such a party earlier.
Shelley put down the microphone and walked towards him.
She worried that Paul could not have a good time.
Paul hugged Shelley with a smile on his face.
Nathan glanced at them.
And he continued to sing alone.
Erik was back when he saw Nathan singing alone.
Nathan was singing the two parts of the song.
So Erik picked up the microphone and took the female part.
It was a perfect song for Nathan’s voice.
And Bruno was still drinking.
Each time he drank, he drank two glasses. One was for himself. The other was for Laurel.

Soon, his face turned red.
Bruno was a bit drunk.

The people saw that they were intimate.
Gemma was mad with jealousy.
Laurel inherited all of the wealth of the Lambert family. Otherwise, Gemma would be the focus of the party. Gemmal felt unimportant and invisible.

Bruno stood up and went out.

Laurel was watching Bruno drinking with Erik and didn’t notice Gemma.
She left.
And when she left, Bruno didn’t notice her.

Bruno was trying to be friends with Erik.

She walked out indifferently.

Hayden went out, too.

Hayden was silent.
“When they leave, ask Erik’s men to follow them.”
Hayden said, “You are getting married in a month. Why are. you sure that he will betray you?”
“I’m sure.” Bruno wouldn’t change.
As long as Gemma made a move first, Bruno would not refuse her.
Gemma was more than jealous tonight. She would make the

“If you are sure, I can cancel the drug prepared by Erik,” Hayden said in a low voice.

Laurel turned to walk away.
But she was grabbed by the arm.
Hayden pushed her to the wall and wouldn’t let her go.
