A Girl’s Diary novel Chapter 41

Sometimes even your bestfriend becomes the absolute worst!

I looked at Tommy with panic evident in my face. This was when I needed our telepathy the most.

"We can go home if you want," He offered whispering so only I would hear.

I nodded. Ron was the last thing I wanted right now!

"Okay then!" He said. "Sky, we're out." He turned to stand behind me so that he could push the wheelchair.

"Just hear me out," She tried. Nope, I wasn't buying any bullshit. "He told me everything but I told him that he should be the one to explain."

Because it was very complicated, right?

What would he explain if he was engaged?!

I looked at Tommy. We had to leave. Now!

He huffed. "As much as I don't want to upset you," he paused. Don't you dare! "I heard that story too. Maybe you should?" His voice was uncertain. He knew exactly what my smug look meant.

Hell to the no!

"Okay then, let's leave!" He said. "Bye, Sky!" Yes!

"Ron, over here!" Sky screamed. No! The hell was wrong with his timing?!

Reluctantly, I glanced over my shoulder. Stealing a look. All my bent up emotions exploded all over the place.

I never wanted to scream so bad...

There wasn't a way to describe those feelings without using scared... terrified!

Terrified that he betrayed me.

Terrified that I still loved him even though he did.

Terrified that I would still love him even after all this.

Terrified that I could never trust him ever again!

"Elena," Sky said. "Just please talk to him. And if you need us just scratch your nose or something." I found myself nodding.

What was I really getting myself into?!

They took off away from us but not away enough to be out of sight! They didn't leave us alone before Tommy shoved his finger in Ron's chest and barked a few angry words.

Ron walked towards me. His steps exuding confidence making me hate him even more... because it made me like him even more!

I never wanted to be able to walk as much as I do now. I wanted to run... or maybe a punch would have to do. I still had a hand I could use. I almost smirked.

I motioned for him to come closer making him raise a brow. But he complied. Smart move!

I gave him my best smile then swung my hand as hard as I could feeling pain in my whole hand.

Guys are really stupid! Why do they always punch each other?!

"I deserve that," He sighed. I gave him the finger. "Maybe that too!" He paused looking deep into my eyes. "But not for the reason you think."

I rolled my eyes focusing on my hand. Did I just break the one hand working well? Nah! But it hurt like hell!

"That girl," He started. I winced at the memory but refused to show further emotions. "I really want you to listen to the whole story, okay?" I nodded. Not because I wanted him to give me a reason to make me forgive him... okay, maybe that was true but who could blame me?!

"Remember when I told my dad is dead... well, he isn't." Just how many lies did he feed me?

"He wants to give me his company but he needs me to marry this girl so that her family could benefit his company." He leaned forward resting his elbows on his thighs. "I refused... for years... but now, he's dying." He sighed. "I know I shouldn't care but hell, I do."

That was why you decided to deceive me then!

"I agreed to date the girl... but I never imagined to fall in love with you," He said taking my hand. I looked the other way, my eyes were pretty sure full of tears. "Elena," Finally, my name! I wanted to scream. "I'm really sorry for hurting you, I was going to break up with her that night... Actually, there was nothing to break; she knew it was only for my father then we're done when he's gone."
