A Demon Lord’S Obsession novel Chapter 39

Chapter 39: Woman

\~Leon's POV\~

Day in and day out, all I was able to do was sit in a chair and watch, as my fellow demon lords fight competitors.

The time I have been apart from her has been unbearable.

Just thinking about her is the only escape from this utterly boring and annoying experience.

But when I came back to reality and see she is not here beside me, anger courses through me. Even now my hands are about to crush the armrests of my chair.

I miss her, but it's alright just a few more of these pestful days till I get to return to her.

””””

It was night time now, all the lords gathered together.

There was food, drinks, and women. Any man without a hint of loyalty or pride would indulge themselves.

I didn't, I didn't feel a need to.

The others, on the other hand, well, they all seemed to be having a good time.

They were together in the room, laughing, stuffing their faces with food as well as women.

Some were riled up, other flat out drunk.

The women put on seemingly fake smiles and continued to serve them.

I could hear laughter and the talk about some of their fights.

I, on the other hand, was out on the balcony overlooking the entire city.

It was a great view, beautiful and lit up, but that's not what I was focused on.

I was lost in my thought, thinking about her.

Though I didn't partake in the festival happening inside, I did drown my sorrows in wine.

Though not enough to lose my senses like the other lords, but just enough to forget I was away from Her.

I was hunched over the railing, my head resting on my arms.

As if I was asleep, my eyes were closed, hesitant to open to a reality without Luna.

Then I felt something, a hand, no two, slowly go up to my back.

A body pressed against me and two arms flung around, feeling my chest.

I knew who it might be, though I didn't want to open my eyes and acknowledge her.

I stood straight and looked toward her.
